The Model Train Forum

Well, in addition to model railways, some of us operate trams. Does this count? Seriously this forum is a great idea.
I recently had some cable drums delivered pending renewal works. Also bought a Southern Railway 2-HAL electric unit.

I wonder what shots you could get by getting a small camera right into the sets to make everything seem full size? You could make videos of trains speeding by with sound effect LOL

Trams are just fine Dongo, remember you still have many of your threads and photos at kemble, do feel free to move them here, Mr Track also, Lady-J

How do we do it?

Just highlight and copy the old post, then paste into a post here.

You might see the photos at first in new post, but since the other forum is going to close, you'll need to upload the pictures here manually so they don't disappear when old forum closes. If you no longer have the photos or can't find them, you should be able to download them one by one from old site by right clicking on them, and choosing "Save image as." I just did it below from one of your posts over there....

I can copy the full posts with the photos and will be here after the close of the old site, add them here, we can move them under you name after that, let me know you want that done, and Miss Holly will do it for you, the one's you want to keep we can put them in a post or thread under your name after.

If I move them the text and photos will look like this from the old site, can do them with or without the heading.

Is this a picture image of the whole post? I guess that's the easy way to do it, but text is a little blurred. Personally, I would just screen shot the pictures and copy and paste the text.

Sure copy and paste the text and re-up load the photos one by one is the best way, but it's a lot of work, if you remember we did try to copy paste with photos from the site, but it don't work, text will show but photos wont, that's something with the two sites.

That's very kind of you Lady J but I do have a lot of posts and it would be a great deal of work. I did record all of the Doll meets - perhaps you could do these?

I use the camera on a 'micro' setting but it is difficult to get both the model and background into focus. Some people have mini camera that they fix on a wagon being propeller to simulate a driver's eye view.

Sometimes bokeh is better than the whole frame in focus though????
