Bittersweet story.

Does the line go over the Ribblehead Viaduct - did a walk up that way that took me under the viaduct about 1000 years ago!
The village of Ruswarp looks really pretty.

Yes mr jedzed it’s the same Settle Carlisle line , we are going to the Cumbria Steam Gathering at Cark near Grange over sand in July and will be passing Ribblehead , so hope to get my picture with the viaduct in the back ground , and try again with Ruswarp👍

But we did well at the rally …..

Silly mr jedzed , we live near Whitby , Ruswarp is a village near on the bank of the river Esk , Ruswarp the dog is named after the village , are you thinking of Larpool viaduct it used to carry the Whitby to Scarborough line untill the Beeching era , now the viaduct is part of the cinder track a walking and cycling track all the way to Scarborough .

I like Whitby they do nice fish there and also the steam train and not forgetting Dracula😯

They also filmed ' Heartbeat ' around that area I believe. I also like York, lots of museums and ghost walks and Betty's Tea Shop where I think Yorkshire Tea is made, although i could be wrong on that point😁

Some times we visit Aidensfield (Goathland in real life) where they filmed Heartbeat but

There is a big 25% (1 in4) one way and a 30% (1 in3) the other so it’s a bottom gear job ☹️

Bettys is also dead posh , but Taylor’s at Harrogate is posher 😁 , they also have their
Hand in Yorkshire tea somewhere in manufacturing 🫖

Yeah I've been to the Magpie when I was on holiday, I'm not a lover of loads of chips, but I like fish. Oh I know Betty's is posh they cut all the crusts of your sandwiches and sometimes they have a piano player in the York branch. The cakes in there are awesome though and I liked the fact that the National Railway museum was free to visit when I went there.

Yeah I visited Heartbeat country on a coach tour, but I preferred the steam train from Pickering to Whitby, even though it's a bit of a pain to get to Pickering if you don't have a car. I think I did a train journey and bus trip to get to Pickering from York.

But it is very nice in Yorkshire and there's lots of nice places to eat in York, unlike where I live😁

Maybe I'll come and stay with you Carly next time I head up that way😉😁

Hi mr Jed , on last Sunday we went passed Ribblehead on our way to the steam rally
and on the way back home pretty little me had my photo took with Ruswarp the dog at Garsdale
station , the photo’s aren’t very good as the big computer is playing up ☹️

Oh is that your three wheeler Carly? I still cant make out what make it is though, probably before my time😁

Mr bobby think 007 ,no it’s not a bug 😁 and they was built in Preston

Mr franz , there is several in the states , but in USA they was market as Sharps Bear Cub ,
All are club members , left hand drive ,
also there is half a dozen in Australia, at least one in New Zealand , mr Bonds grandson
Lives in Australia and has built a prototype look alike .
