If They Can Do That Then Why Not This?

It was in May or thereabouts 2020 I made a one year review of Elina. One of the things I commented on was her hands, specifically the lines in her palms being so realistic. For some years I have been puzzling over something, hence the reason for this.

I have photographs my mother took of me when I was a baby in my pram, on some you can clearly see it. I live close to an infants and primary school, I used to attend both, I see some of the children coming and going, like me as a child, these children have it also. Over the course of my life it has remained with me, just like everyone else of my age group, both boys and girls and women and men, it comes to us all, we all have it. So why do all doll manufacturers ignore it?

If you haven’t guessed it already, I’m talking about the lines we have on our forehead, known as frown lines and those by the sides of our eyes called crows feet. I took some photos of Elina by the Christmas tree on her second Christmas, I moved position slightly and pressed the shutter. When I loaded them onto the laptop, I noticed in one she looked to be about mid teens, so it wasn’t included in the ones I posted on the two forums I was a member of. I wondered then that if she had frown lines and crows feet would she have looked older?

If the doll manufacturers can produce thin lines on the palms why not frown lines and crows feet on the face. Being blemish free is not realistic or indeed ‘lifelike.’

I don't know, most real girls I know strive to make such lines (wrinkles) less noticeable. Dolls are just ahead of the game. :)

Most doll people don't want older looking dolls.

Very meaningful idea. Probably because most people prefer younger dolls. Maybe we could ask the doll makers.

I think cross feet could also be weak points in the material, like the creases around the butt hole, and likely to rip and tear when you adjust or remove the eyes.

Or a part work magazine bi monthly say for 5 issues to spread the cost , mind you Smith’s would’nt stock it 😁

I remember back in the 1980`s a French company made some very realistic blow up dolls with one of the models based on a woman in her 30`s and it included a few facial lines if I remember correctly. How well they sold and what became of the company would be interesting to find out.

There are some of us that do look older. This is Rhiannon. She won't tell me her age. But she takes good care of her skin, stays out of the sun, and moisturizes a lot. She doesn't have wrinkles but it is pretty obvious that she is in at least her mid-thirties - maybe even as old as 50. Yes, I have known real 50 year olds that look this good. (Of course they might have spent an hour on makeup alone.)

So I am guessing that when guys look for older girls, they are attracted to the ones that look their best. Not like the morning after a long night on a drinking binge. And the matchmakers know this.
