Photography Project

Hello everyone,

My name is Meg, and I'm a documentary photographer (overview - Megan K Eagles). I am currently working on a personal photography project on love dolls.

I'm currently seeking individuals in the UK who might be interested in participating in my project along with their dolls. The project's goal is to explore and document the nuanced emotional connections between doll owners and their dolls, emphasising the depth of these relationships over any sensationalist angles. I've included some photographs from a recent session to give you an idea of what I'm aiming for with this project

I understand that allowing any media access may evoke a range of emotions and considerations, and I want to assure you that my approach is rooted in sensitivity, empathy, and artistic integrity. My goal is to create a safe and respectful environment for collaboration.

I know some people may be interested but still require a level of anonymity, so we can discuss just showing a hand/arm, or framing a shot from behind to obscure a face.

I would recommend looking through the Doll Ownership for beginners. threads to learn more about love dolls from other angles, rather than the obvious ones.

Definitely! I have been researching a lot about the difference uses and relationships people have with their dolls, which is exactly what I am looking to capture in my project. Those threads are very interesting, I'm learning a lot through working on this project, and gladly welcome any advice and guidance from those within the community :)

Wow, Meg, you certainly are good at trying to make an impression. The thing I found is that reporters and 'people just wanting to know about love dolls' then say one thing, then do another, like sensationalizing doll ownership even thought they said they wouldn't. I was involved with one TV show and a couple people, one a college student, who just wanted to know. Know what? Their real agenda WAS to sensationalize and show doll owners in the worst light possible.

I won't be part of another 'Wow, LOOK WHAT WE FOUND OUT!" attempt. I would suggest anyone thinking of doing this also stay out of it.

I’ve only just joined this site and saw Meg’s post.
Meg was with me just last week and I can honestly say it was a very positive and enjoyable experience. She asked a lot of good questions and handled the whole matter with professionalism, sensitivity and thoughtfulness.
It might help you to be aware that Meg’s focus is on emotional connection - just look at her website and you’ll see the quality of her work, especially the images of emotional sensitivity. Meg also used to be a photographer of female erotica, so she fully understands the need to handle this sensitively.

There are some of us, Jedzed and we here in Wales hosted the very first Doll meets, that was a first in the uk, Lady-J

Yes Mr Bob aka(Gibbmodoll) started the first ever Doll meets here in Wales, and started Uk Lovedoll forum, he gave that up some years ago, but think they still have the meets, but not in Wales, the ones in Wales were some of the best, with lots of members.

Yes, perhaps make a thread called "Memory Lane" where the oldest pics of dolls can be posted to, Lady-J? It might be nice to look back at the old days?

I’ve seen a lot of Dongo’s photos on UKLDF. I’m afraid that his Miss Nicole and my Autumn Black are in a serious competition to beat each other in the ‘Sexiest Teddy Babe Ever!’ contest 😁
