This is Mireille, the most recent visitor to land on my door step.

Can you believe it? I’m sitting here on this old picnic table, notebook half-forgotten, pretending to sketch the trees but really watching her. Mireille. Mee-RAY. She doesn’t even notice me, or maybe she does, in that way that makes your skin prickle. She’s walking through the park like she owns every dappled patch of sunlight, arms loose at her sides, hair catching the wind just so.

And get this — the name itself? Oh yeah, it’s supposedly French, from some old Provençal poet who thought it clever to call a girl “miracle” or “wonder” or whatever. Like that’s not pretentious at all. Mireille. It’s basically stamped with destiny: irresistible, ethereal, untouchable. Great. Thanks, history.

And the guys… God, the guys. Every single one of them is turning their heads, stealing glances like they don’t even know they’re doing it. She doesn’t have to say a word. No lines, no charm offensive, no laughing at bad jokes, just walking. That’s it. That’s all it takes. She flicks her hair, tilts her head, lets her eyes meet theirs for half a second and move on, and suddenly they’re following her with their thoughts instead of their feet.

I try to tell myself it’s ridiculous. She’s just… existing. But that’s exactly the problem. She’s too much. Too easy, too natural. Too… irresistible. I want to tell myself I’m imagining it, that I’m overreacting. But every time she smiles, not even at anyone, my stomach tightens, my chest does that weird flutter, and I realize I’m already counting the imaginary hearts she’s stolen in my mind.

And I hate her for it. I hate her for the way she moves, for the way the sun hits her skin, for the way the whole park seems to pause when she passes by. I want to look away. I have to look away. But I can’t. I don’t want to.

Mireille. Just her name makes me ache.

Mireille is a 1/3 scale (60cm) BJD (ball joint doll)

Yes, I too love that outfit. Sorry I couldn't read all your text because my mind was preoccupied with that wonderful outfit Mireille is wearing.
I scimed over your story though and got the gist of it.

If you think buying clothes for a full-sized doll is a challenge, try finding clothes for a 1/3 scale doll. Cloths designed for 1/3 scale dolls are few and far between and cost as much or more as regular adult clothes for humans.

Here is Mireille in her new dress.

It was a rare find. It is from a porcelain doll. Sure, there are shitloads of porcelain dolls in thrift stores for $5 - $10. But most porcelain dolls are based on young girls and so do not have the proper proportions for and adult 1/3 scale BJD or MJD dolls. They tend to be far too big around the middle to be even alterable. Porcelain dolls that have clothes that fit properly is rare. Finding clothes that are not too foo foo, frolly, or twee is even more rare.

Anyway, my bestie has another struggle as a result. The porcelain doll has a mature adult face that is very attractive and sexy. But the big problem is that she came with the couch in the picture. But the porcelain doll is locked in the same pose as Mireille in the last picture. So she cant even do a standing pose, Well, my bestie saved her head hoping to someday give her a poseable body. As if ther are not enough hybrids already living in this house.

Mr Franz buys clothes for Jhipri, Jiya and Ji Woo from Mr Ali. He has an express shop and they sell 1/3 clothes super cheap!

Mireille was a thrift store find, no markings, so I don't know who made her.

But if you are going to search the web, the search term to used is "1/3 BJD" or "60cm BJD." You can also try subbing MJD for BJD.

Good luck!

I'm pretty sure your Mireille is from the Princess doll line sold on Aliexpress. Same style mechanical joints
Thing that threw me, that particular head is usually sold with the male body. Although it's decidedly feminine.

My bestie doesn't shop on Aliexpress or Temu. Not when he can find Barbies for 75 cents for their clothes for his 1/6 scale seamless action figures on local thrift shops. Mireilles dress is from a porcelain doll that he picked up for $5. couch included.

Maybe the company that sells the doll pictured in your post got a batch mixed up. Put a female head on a male body and rather than toss them, sell them cheap on Aliexpress.

I suppose Mireille can be a male with man boobs. But I have never seen a male with man boobs that has an hour-glass figure. Just sayin'.

The bodies and heads from that manufacturer are all interchangeable. The only difference between the male and female bodies is the upper torso. The lower half is exactly the same for either. So both male and female have hourglass figures. Same with the heads. All are decidedly feminine, with the brow line being the only real difference. That makes them a favorite among Ali doll sellers. You'll see them in just about every configuration imaginable there.

I got involved with Ali years ago when I was looking for an alternative to the high dollar smart doll. As luck would have it, I ran into a Chinese wholesaler I dealt with years prior during my brief stint in import/export. That was way before Ali on even the net. Funny fellow and all around nice guy. Anyway, that's how I found Jhipri, Jiya and Ji Woo and inadvertently learned more about Chinese made bjd's than I ever wanted to know! 🤣
