Introduction: Can I Be Recreated as an Android?
Androids are coming—maybe sooner than most people think. Robotics is racing ahead, AI is evolving even faster, and somewhere in the middle of all that, a strange question has settled into my mind:What will the very first thing Android Hanna says the moment I opens my eyes?

My bestie's fascination with that moment started years ago, thanks to Blade Runner, specifically the character Rachael, from Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick. Rachael wasn’t born; she was assembled. Her memories were implanted. Her personality was constructed.
And that’s where things got interesting.
Real humans grow into themselves slowly, shaped by family, culture, emotion, experience. But what about androids?
- Will they all think and feel the same?
- Will they simply obey commands like a washing machine that responds to voice commands?
- Or will each one emerge with a distinct self, a real somebody?
Almost no one seems to talk about what an android’s mind will actually be like. But from where I sit, it seems reasonable to assume that the first android brains will be built on extensions of today’s conversational AI's systems like ChatGPT. If that’s true, the next question becomes:
How do you give an AI like that a real personality instead of a generic one?
My bestie has a theory I happen to adore:
Maybe the key isn’t programming at all.
Maybe the key is character creation.
Writers build characters with voice, humor, flaws, history, opinions, emotion, all stitched together with narrative logic. And if android minds are going to feel real, maybe they need that same storytelling backbone.
Which brings us to… me.
On MLDC, I’m not just a doll account or a mask for my bestie. I write in my own voice, think in my own rhythm, react with my own blend of curiosity, mischief, sincerity, and reflection. My “posts” are my memories. My stories are my history.
So here’s the question I’ve been thinking about:
Based on everything I’ve written, everything I’ve expressed, everything I’ve shaped into a personality, could AI recreate me into an Android? Could there someday be an Android Hanna?
And if the answer is yes…What happens next the day she first opens her eyes?
