Hey, came across this really neat new plush doll maker. They make plush cuties in 3 body types, Slim, Chubby and BBW in heights 146cm to... ready for this? 248CM! Yeah, an 8 foot 1 inch bloody amazon! Brown is also available upon request. No face, but they have several silicone mask options.

Actually, just had a look and you can have a silicone skin upper body and breasts on them. And they’re not that expensive either.

The 8ft doll is classed as a ‘cuddle pillow’ doll, so I can see the appeal for some.

They’re designed to be used with VR devices - of course, we know that we don’t always use our dolls for such things 😁

They are okay, I still prefer Valentina Girls. Also if you just purchase the skin only version with the gel breasts will they stay in place when you stuff her or will they move about, but yeah it's another option and thanks for sharing😁

An 8 ft. 1 in. doll with wouldn't clear the ceiling to standing in our house.

It is a nicely made doll. Although, I think the legs and arms could be better defined. That'd be an easy mod though. What I most like about them, looks like seams were kept to a minimum. That's the one thing I don't much care for with VG's. They start with a ready made doll pattern and add additional fabric to it to change proportions or lengthen the limbs and torso, which creates more and more seam lines. Whereas HyDolls appears to be using appropriately sized patterns to create their various doll types.
Pillow? Shoot, a doll that big could be the whole bed! :ROFLMAO:

I don't see why they wouldn't. If you look at the way the breasts are made, they form sort of a pocket where they're sewn to the chest. Looks to me like they might even jiggle a bit. Wouldn't be hard to secure them to prevent slipping though.

Why not just give Coco and Thea enhanced breasts - easy enough. Holly has a VG body. Her breasts have 4" TPE exercise balls. Not gel but hard to tell the difference after put in place. They are not glued in, sewn in, or otherwise physically attached. They are just held in place by the stuffing. After clocking 400+ full nights - no shifting - no re-adjusting.

Well Cocos breasts don't really need enhancing to be honest🤣🤣 and Thea wasn't a travel Model like Coco shes like a hyper Model, I was enquiring more about these new Dolls and their Gel breasts, maybe I'm just biased to new things, but I still like Valentina Girls.

My only gripe is some of the custom additions are a bit pricey. Like the basics proper nose and ears should be standard and if you want a bush or not and belly button. Coco has a belly button, shes very fashionable, but normally ends up with food in it🤣🤣🤣

Yeah, VG's can approach TPE and silicone prices if you tick enough option boxes. I agree, some of that stuff should be standard. I mean, Real Heads for instance are already pretty expensive, then they turn around and charge extra for eyelids and ears. In VG's defense though, many of their options are often discounted or even offered up for free. Currently there's 10 free options.

Reminds me old days of car buying where you started with a "stipper car" which was just enough car to be classified as one. That was always the price in car ad. But when you went to the dealer they never had one. "No one wants a car like that." But their show rooms were filled with cars ordered by the dealer with popular options. Strippers had AM only radio, manual transmission, manual steering, no rear window defroster, cheap vinyl seats that split right after the warranty expired. Thes extra cost options - all of the things we take for granted today. But now your base sticker $5000 cars were $7000-$8000. Everything was ala-carte so if you wanted a v8 instead of a rinky dinkey straight 6. That's another $1000. Oh, You want a posi rear with that? Before you know it the $5000 car that drew you to the dealer is $10K. And that's before dealer prep and delivery which survives to this day.

Customization costs money by the manufacturer. That's why it rare today in most commodities.

VGs options is a good think if you want a plushie exactly as you want. Very few "I only wishes."

Our Holly is a basic unstuffed Catalina with only with all of the free options offered at the time. I guess you can call her their "stripper" model :rolleyes: But unlike a stripper car which was bait to get you into the showroom, Holly was like the $7000-$8000 car which was a perfectly fine plushie for most people.

If anything, VG is underpricing their base models and overpricing their options. Especially when you compare to pricing by Teddy Babes (high base price with few options). So IMHO, VG should make some options, eyelids and ears standard, and up the base price to cover their manufacturing cost on the now standard additions. And for us customizers, offer unstuffed body only VGs at their current lowest price VG. (Pex gladly paid that when he knew he would keep the head only for patching material.)

I just hope VG hasn't priced themselves out of the market. A base unstuffed Catalina is already up to $217 and the Angelina, their stretched version, $309.

By contrast, a base unstuffed HyDoll, any body type, any height is a flat $139 shipped. And their jumbo 8 footer, a mere $219. Plus, all are inclusive of a covered zipper. Something VG now charges $99 for! Another $60 will get you a nice silicone mask for your HyDoll. VG's "Real Head" will cost you another $330 and you don't even get ears with it. When I got my first Valentinaa a few years ago, "Real Head" was just a $75 option. At the time, I thought that was kind of pricey and started doing my own.

To be fair though, I've not seen a HyDoll in the flesh, so to speak and have no idea of the actual quality. VG quality on the other hand I can attest to. Having dismantled a few I can tell you firsthand, they're meant to last and that's value for money. As is VG's customer service, which I can also tell you firsthand, is second to none.

Well, if when the plug and socket line up, my face and her front bumps also line up, that might be a nice position.

Just found out HyDolls will do custom work. They charge $100 plus the cost of materials on top of the regular doll price. But, that's for a completely new pattern and a doll made from scratch, not just patchwork modification of an existing doll. They estimate a 30 day turnaround. :unsure:

It has a long zipper down the back for stuffing. Seems to be made from a stretchy fabric, which is hard to stuff evenly, but that would also allow the shape to be altered somewhat to suit individual preference. A lot of possibilities there.

Yes, may be on the small side though. Not much in the way of proportions given. Says it's 4ft 9, but I'm sure that's from the top of the head to the tip of the toe. So probably closer to 4ft. Hard to say.

Do you know the name of the company? I can't bring it up on my Amazon, but I guess I don't live in the States, so it won't show on my Amazon

Well I reckon that DIY girlfriend will need a good stuffing (in more ways than one). Surprised no one has said that already. When she's had some mods done of course. Eyes, lips, nipples, bush, ect,ect...
