Hi folks, I know new Members need 20 posts before the can see this part of the forum, but if you are a newbie on the forum and want a doll, wouldnt it be an idea for them to see the sales forum, as sometimes folk offer their doll for free or at a really good price and newbies can miss this.

20 posts can give a little time for new members to get known, they know the forum and we know a little about them, before they start making sales or buying on site.

Sales are a little bit of a risk for sites, if someone is scamed, it should be also in the rules that the site is not responsible, should anything go wrong, 20 posts do help to stop anyone just posting sales without making themselves known to the site Admins, but take your point Bobby, Lady-J

Yes I agree with both points - Most if not all specialist forums have some sort of disclaimer clearly stating the forum itself has no responsibility or liability whatsoever in the event of a private sale going wrong. I don’t know enough about digital tech but presumably it would be reasonably easy to implement, maybe just a simple check box or similar that the person placing the advertisement had to tick to proceed.
Regarding new members not seeing the adverts the existing 20 posts system seems good to me, 20 posts is not many for a genuine enthusiast to ramble on about his or her dream doll lady - (I do it all the time ! :) )

Yes, we didn't want people joining the site just to get that free doll, then never heard of again. Its not fair on people that contribute to the site more.

I just updated our liability clause in the forum rules.

Well what we are really looking for is a Teddy Babe either a standard model (like me at 4 feet - 120cm)
Or the larger Neo-Classic model just a bit taller , we will even view a De-luxe , but not a swivel hip one .

Love Carly 😍🥰😘

As a newbie I don’t think 20 posts is excessive - it demonstrates a certain commitment and that the person then being able to buy/sell dolls on here is more serious than someone just wandering past on a whim…

Well maybe a suggestion, if a Member eventually decides to give away a doll or doll related things, maybe they could post it on a forum that Newbies can see.

It is just my opinion, if i was a newbie on here and saw someone offering a doll for free I'd jump at the chance. I know it doesn't happen very often though😊

Yes, that’s a good idea - I was thinking just that same thing. Also a new member could always post that were looking for a particular type of pre-owned doll and then anyone who had anything suitable could make their own choice if they wanted to contact them…….

I’d say that seems like a reasonable compromise yes.
No harm in offering to all members if regular members have had a fair chance at snapping it up already?

There may be other considerations I haven’t thought of though, so I guess it’s up to the owner/admins at the end of the day…

I think 20 posts is very reasonable. If I remember correctly we were at 10 posts and a minimum of 10 days registered on the site to gain access to the Sales section. Why did we have the 10 days?

To stop new members like Jedzed accessing the sales section within an hour. :ROFLMAO:

It also give us 10 days to try convince them that they might actually want to keep their doll. It did actually work a few times with members that had the instant buyers remorse and wanted to sell the doll the moment she arrived.

Anyhow, Freebies are only free if they are actually free and no money changed hands. Sending a doll up and down the country can be expective if you need to use a delivery service like UPS etc. Money would need to change hands, you would have similar risks to those in the sales section, it would just be a smaller amount.

We had a very active sales section, It caused us over 70% of our site problems, obviously we didn't get to hear about things unless it was reported to us or they came to us when it was too late, everything gets hidden in DM's, including all the undesirables that go around sneaking in the background upsetting members and asking if they can meet up and have a free go with their doll.

Yes i agree with the buyers remorse, ive seen folk order new dolls and suddenly realise that they can't lift or move them due to the weight, its a bit of a shock to the system for some and then they go up for sale.

I think its just the human condition, sometines we want something and have to have it and set our hearts on it and then sometimes when we get it, its not completely what we thought it would be😯

Just to add if i was younger i might be the same, but Dolls are expensive and not an everyday purchase, for me anyway. They are a luxury item like a new car i did a lot of research before i ordered Coco and weighed up the pros and cons and the price tag😊

I have seen a vampire Teddy Babe for sale actually Carly, but she has the swivel legs, which you said you didn't want. She was a Deluxe Model, someone in the States was selling her, but you might have better luck looking on The Doll Forum to see if they have a ' For Sale ' section

I saw a doll with special features, and the seller said there was only one available. I'm considering trying to negotiate the price with the seller.
I really like this doll, and the fact that it has these features means I won't need to spend extra money adding them myself. However, the doll is in the US, and I'm not sure if it can be shipped to London.

Just had a look at her. Although she looks like a fabulous doll, remember that she has been heavily Photoshopped to improve her appearance. But the big factor here is that she is 48 kg !!! That’s a massive weight to handle unless you have some mechanical means of carrying and moving her, then she’s probably going to be too heavy to handle (unless you are a fairly big guy).
I think it’s highly unlikely that she’s coming from the US - although prices are given in dollars, SexDoll Partner operates from China. You’ll be paying import taxes as well, remember.

Yes, she looks really nice but a bit sketchy on the info - I can’t even see a brand but she looks vaguely WM so could be a WM copy / generic. I am with Jed 48kg is far too much for me - and that is no doubt without the head (but you might be a pro weight lifter) Also no good images of the LHP which often suggests it’s less than ideal. I think the “promo” offer might be a bit misleading. Most sellers often have similar looking offers most of the time. Remember those promo photos are professionally arranged to make her look her absolute best - its likely she is not quite like that in reality - so I would definitely ask for some factory images.

Personally I wouldn’t risk it unless you absolutely MUST have that exact doll and have prior experience of handling a 48kg lump of TPE

If I had her she would never get off the sofa !

“Latino Slime Sex doll”. ! Slime? That doesn’t sound too encouraging.."…………
If you are genuinely considering the 48kg babe - I would maybe suggest you wait until you have your Ana and see how you get on with her. - hopefully she arrives safely and is not too slimy!
If she is UK stock you must have her by now anyway?

Yes - I was just thinking the exact same thing, sadly it doesn’t look very genuine - Two of the posts state there have been 2 doll orders with one from UK stock and everything pointing to “recommending” SDP . oh dear…………………..
