Yes I know Bobby started a Topic on music and movies, but this one is just for music. I'm into the 80s soul, dance and 70s disco, I'm not really a dancer, but I just kind of move about a bit and do my own thing

I like Alexander o neal, Shalamar, Shakatak ( kind of jazzy ) George Benson, Fat back band, pointer Sisters, Earth, Wind & Fire, Tom Browne, Sister Sledge, Gregory Abbott and many more besides!

So what kind of music are you girls into?

Oh did I not mention Bobby's claim fo fame is that he met Kate Bush once in London. The one who sung wuthering Heights, back in 78. I think he had a crush on her when he was growing up, bless him

I like just about everything. Favourite group is probably Queen. Favourite artist depends what I heard on the radio. However there is a piece of music I keep coming back to.

I don't know if I have a favorite. I just listen to whatever they put on. Mr Franz seems to have gotten stuck mid 1970's and rarely plays anything newer. Guess because he played in a rock band back then. Most of the time though, it's Jyoti or Mrs Franz cranking up the Hindi tunes. I don't understand their language, but some of the melodies are nice. 🎶

My musical taste is hard rock and heavy metal, everything from Hawkwind through Deep Purple to Deathhammer. There's a lot of awesome new south American 80 styled thrash metal bands nowadays, thrashing like it's 1986. Just as well we don't actually worship the Devil, as if he turned up at LTHQ, his ears would bleed 😆

Thank you !🤗 This explains a lot. I have spent many Friday nights searching this site for the music thread, I did wonder why couldn't find it. I know we both posted in it quite frequently and for that reason I had got it in my head you were thread starter.
Anyhow, I agree, this should be the main music thread.

Well i like the 70s & 80s myself, guess its Bobbys influence. I like music from Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Level 42, Queen, Clannad, Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, Tears For Fears, Simple Minds.

From the 70s or maybe late 70s Gerry Rafferty, Supertramp, Bee Gees, 10cc, and some of the old disco classics 😄

I didn't follow All Saints at all when I was younger, but always thought they were attractive ladies. I liked "Pure Shores" from the movie "The Beach".

Too bad we live so far apart. Joe plays his own version of that song on the guitar and I know he would love to have a good harmonica player join him.
He plays a bit of harmonica him self, but he can only do so much when he is also playing guitar and a kicker drum.
