I finally got a mate. Her name is Amaya. A frightened DHL courier brought her yesterday. The poor guy was probably not used to our alpine cow paths and got the shock of his life.
Isn't she cute? Now we can count snowflakes together when Jasp is away. (At least that's what he thinks we'll do...)
A year after I bought Monya, I decided to buy her a companion, but I couldn't decide between two lovely girls, so I bought both and declared them twins. The first to arrive was Amaya. Her seller had named her Aino, but I preferred to call her Amaya, which means ‘night rain’ in Japanese – a perfect description of the weather when she arrived.
The brochure praised her ‘pouting lips’ but the girl I got seemed to know exactly how to show herself off, so I decided to turn her into a red-haired whirlwind with freckles.
She'll be the salt in the soup, so to speak, but sometimes a double-helping...
Below, the first pic I took from her.
