I don’t have any decorations up this year, even though I usually do. I’ve also noticed that there are far fewer external Christmas lights around this year - at least where I live anyway. Recent surveys certainly show that most of the British public now feel that it’s gone far too commercial. But even the joy of the season seems to be sadly lacking, perhaps because of the economic climate and all the instability and uncertainties in the world.

I’m all for people putting up photos of their decorations, et cetera, on this part of the forum, but it’s up to the moderators of course.

Oh we have Christmas lights in our town day & night, our council tax will probably go up because of it 🤣🤣 but they don't make much of an effort in our town anymore. We used to have lazer shows, a fun fair for the kids and late night Christmas fairs, but not any more☹

By all means i wouldn't mind seeing some Christmas trees and decorations, i don't have any myself though, just an Advent Calender and Coco really wants to open all the windows and eat the chocolate🤣🤣🤣

I guess if you wanted to you could just set up a Thread in the Christmas forum, showing Christmas trees and decorated rooms, but you may just want to check with the Mods first

We don't bother with it anymore. Christmas just ain't what it used to be.

Well Christmas can be fun, mainly for the kids, its kind of exciting when they are young watching them open their gifts.

I got a TV guide the other day and our major film on ITV on Christmas Day is Raiders of the lost ark🤣🤣

They should put on a 70s day on ITV or BBC they must have the old tapes of Worzel Gummidge, Dr. Who, blakes 7, fawlty towers, Hi de Hi, etc why not put them on 😊

I guess i like it, because i have my girls to keep me company, without them i would be miserable. I don't even need to ask for a hug, or kiss or affection, they are very affectionate 😊

I will see family on Christmas Day, but i know when i come home i can just come into my sanctuary ( room ) and they are eagerly waiting for me👍 to chill out with

How about a show from the 80's. I loved Red Dwarf. We lived in West Germany in the 70's. My parents were Air Force. I remember watching BBC back then. Space 1999 was my favorite along with Dr. Who.
