Storage ideas / cases ???

Has anyone a storage case specifically for a doll they are looking to sell ? Or failing that any ideas as to what is best to store in . Sadly I’m not going to be able to have her on view all the time . Ideas welcome

When Harper first came into Jed’s life, he had a sleeping bag here that he would put her into and stand her upright in a walk-in cupboard if anyone was coming to visit.
Nowadays, he doesn’t even use the sleeping bag. But of course, you might not have a walk in cupboard.
With me, he puts me in the bed in the spare bedroom, laying parallel with the headboard, and puts spare pillows and a spare duvet over me.
A case is ideal, but even if the case is in view, somebody might ask what’s in it.

Yes I have used sleeping bags too which work pretty well, If you are buying a std type new doll the box they come in is OK as a temporary solution until you get a fully operational system in place. The better quality higher budget ones tend to have shaped / moulded foam inside which lasts well - the cardboard will probably get tired but its fine in the short term.

Depending on your chosen storage area, if you don’t mind doing some basic woodwork its pretty simple to make a plywood box that fits under a bed or in a cupboard, make sure you make the inside nice and cozy for her with foam etc.

She may have to stay in her box until I find a nice ottoman / toy chest . But it’ll need a lock on it ! Not gonna feel good about locking her away but she going to have to be a recluse who only comes out to play !

I have used heavy duty type plastic toy boxes and toolboxes in the past - the better quality ones are lockable and are great size for torsos but I never found one quite the right shape for a full doll.
If you are storing her most of the time - and getting her out strategically for playtime - then this is another good reason to get a lighter weight doll, You will likely soon get fed up with lugging over 30kg around and in / out of boxes etc….
Plenty of ottomans and blanket chests in the bigger charity shops…

Back in the early days (air babes) under bed storage was the thing , but when the Teddy Babes came to mr tracks a new bed was on order - this time a otterman bed , they open from the side or from the footboard , worth thinking about . But nowadays we all live downstairs in the living room for all to enjoy when they come visiting 😁 👍

I bought an ottoman storage box that should go at the end of the bed but I have against the wall, its a little shorter than Lily and I have to take off her head (which seems wrong and a bit Henry the 8th) but I placed a duvet in there first so she is on soft material.

It also doubles up as a seat for us, I can store the bedding in there and it doesn't look out of place.

Best way to keep/store safely and enjoy your investment is to have them living with you at all times and stuff any one that call’s , keep them presentable and they are a instant hit with visitors 👍
