Please may we have the "Unread Posts" and "Mark Forums Read" buttons again?

Glad to see "New Posts" back, but the "Unread Posts" one was more useful, as it presented a list of only those posts I hadn't yet read, instead of me having to guess how far back to look in time.
What I used to do was "open in new tab" those unread posts I was interested in, then mark the entire site read so that the "Unread Posts" section was now empty; this was very useful.
Please can we have them back?

I’ve tried to recreate this feature by adding a “New” badge to posts you haven’t read yet. Once you read a post, the badge disappears.

The benefit is that you can see all the latest activity on the site at a glance. It goes back four pages, so you’ll always have access to the most recent 100 posts.

The downside is that posts don’t disappear from the list after you read them, so you can’t keep the list empty.

If you really want a true New Posts list—where posts disappear once you’ve read them—I’ll build it. I just need at least three people to say they want it. Then your wish is my command. 😄

The Living Tribute is number one—just two more members needed!

Sorry to make more work for you but I too like the removal of read posts, less clutter you know.

TBH I like it the way it is currently, for me it does have a great big benefit over other forums.

I often scan read the latest posts during the last 10 mins of my lunch breaks at work, i don't generally get the chance to reply to them, even though I want to, if I check the latest post list later and nobody replies to them, they don't appear on the unread post list and I don't go hunting for them. This happens to me a lot on other platforms and having them still visible was quite refreshing.

Is it intentional that all posts under "Latest Posts" have the New badge even if I've read them?

They should dissapear if they have been read by one of your accounts. However, switch account with a doll and if the doll hasn't read them, they appear as "new" again until the doll has read them.

Hope that makes sense.

I tend just to use my human account to read through them so I keep all posts as read. I can always choose a doll to answer a post if I need later by switching accounts and using the back icon on the browser.
