It was on Amazon Prime, though it may have been on one of their subscription channels about a year or so ago. It is a Scandinavian film with, I think, IVS (in-vision subtitles).
It opens with a couple sitting at a small table in the kitchen area of their home. Their conversation has either ended or has reached a lull just as there’s a knock at the front door. The male rises and goes to the door, opening it he sees two well dressed men, they introduce themselves and state that they’ve come for his ‘wife.’ He leads the way through the house, then getting to his ‘wife’ he explains to her that these men are doctors, psychiatrists who wish to carry out some tests at their facility to discover what is wrong with your memory. She is not totally convinced with this explanation, she believes she will never return home if she goes with them. She is reassured that that would not happen, in fact it is to save their ‘marriage.’ Together the couple go with the doctors to their facility, they stay there over the weekend, on Monday morning the male leaves as he must return to work, he assures her that he and their son will visit during the week and she shouldn’t worry. Over the course of that week she goes for treatment and meets some of the other patients there. She is suffering from large gaps in her short term memory. Imagine you remember filling the kettle, then you sit down with your hot mug of coffee at the table. You have not remembered the steps taken to actually brew it. Her husband and son visit and often the husband sits in during the sessions with his wife.
Towards the end of the film she is looking out of a large window when she sees her husband and son waking away with another woman. She then realises she has been replaced, as too have most of the other patients who are also suffering from the same condition.
During the course of the film we discover she is a robotic, her name (and that of the film) is made up from her model and version type. For example SHEBA = Synthetic Human Entity Basic Android.
