Private Threads

You as a member can create a private thread in any lounge that allows new posts, or in both the Chilli's. Private threads are for the more experienced members to use and join, usually needing at least Mild Chilli access. The thread starter can invite any members on the site.

The invited member will receive a message in the conversations with a link to the private thread they are invited to. The link will only appear if you are allowed into the thread, a none Chilli chef will not be allowed into a thread that is in a Chilli for instance. If a thread is turned into a Chilli thread and you are not a chilli chef, you'll be kicked out of the private thread.

Click the link to enter the private thread. Once in, use the thread as normal, you can post anything within the rules of the thread set by the thread starter, and within the rules of the site. You can be kicked out by the thread starter, and you can leave on your own accord at any time.

Rules have been updated to apply to Chilli and to Private threads.

I sent some invites out from a private thread just to show what happens when you use the private thread. If anyone else wants an invite to try it out, just let me know.

Don't know if I got an invite or not. I receive PM's, but I have email notifications turned off. That said, I'm not altogether sure what the purpose of private threads would be. If you only want to include certain members, doesn't the private messaging system more of less accomplish the same thing?

Private threads are where you can upload more extreme pictures and things like that. They are hidden except to the people invited to the thread, even to us Admins unless we look into the thread manually from a forum. But really, that would only happen if we get a message something is against the rules. You have to be Chilli members to use private threads. It's all very hush hush.

Otherwise of course, just use normal threads.

Looks to me like it is a success.👍 now after following the link from my invite, I can see the thread in my latest posts list.
