Long split on side of box

This is how the box arrived, anyone familiar with dolls would know what the contents were. It wouldn’t have taken much more rough handling for her to slide out of the end!!!

Repeated movement of the body length ways- hence the neck repeatedly impacting with the packaging and the end of the box.

OK, I thought I should post something about my latest doll purchase as a caution to the general community to be aware of. I’ll try to keep it concise so it doesn’t get boring. I ordered a Jigglyjoy Torso doll from Dollpimp back in May, usual procedure, received factory images, all good she went on her way across the world from Asia to Norfolk. Like any exited customer I eagerly watched my FedEx tracking and waited happy in the knowledge she was steadily on her way. Dollpimp specified a 2-6 week shipping time. I kept checking the tracking almost daily- unchanged from the beginning it read “label created you will be notified once we have a delivery date” Last week a grumpy FedEx driver banged on my window completely unannounced- yes he was delivering my doll in a rather bashed about box. It was sheer fluke I was even at home having changed my plans due to work. Happy to have my doll but somewhat irritated by the non existent tracking I contacted Dollpimp who investigated and informed me that FedEx had mistakenly generated TWO tracking numbers for my doll but sent me the inactive one. Lack of prior delivery notification coupled with split box could very easily have been an unpleasant situation if the box had been abandoned or similar! Of course I am aware 40kg of box is inevitably likely to receive some rough handling over the course of its journey but clearly the packaging was inadequate and had allowed the body to move repeatedly bashing the neck into the end of the box until it split. Dollpimp also pointed out that the box had almost certainly been opened by customs hence the scruffy way the smaller contents were arranged. Astoundingly apart from some dirt around her neck the doll was OK. I have never heard of this double tracking number before so I guess the moral of the story is to Always double check your tracking!!!
