The Girl with the Grade 3 Crewcut (Starpery Rong 151)

Something unexpected happened today. I decided to hack Rong’s implanted hair off as I find straight brown hair is just a bit boring. I was thinking of putting on a red wig. It was hard going using scissors so I got out my head shaver thing (I cut my own hair) and gave her a grade 3 crew cut. And to my immense surprise, I think she’s gorgeous with a crew cut. She might be the only doll with a crew cut you’ll ever see as only possible with implanted hair.

Wearing a baseball cap. I think now she has a crew cut she needs an army outfit.

Looks gratifying from the front. My only concern with short hair on a doll with a removable head is that you see the join between the head and next, which isa little uncanny valley. Looks great on permanent head dolls though ;)

I don’t have an army outfit but I do have a sailor outfit. Rong brings new meaning to the phrase “The Captain’s Mate” 😊

Final photo for today (I think) to show the side view. The implanted hair could do with being closer to the ear to make the crew cut perfect. Also, without long hair the neck seem is more obvious. Doesn’t particularly bother me, I really like it.

It's a shame they didn't go a little closer around her ears, you have done a good job of cutting it, I do quite like that short haircut.

It also goes to show how good Starpery are at implanting hair, I know others are not so good, there doesn't look to be any bald patches.

I do like wigs though, it's nice to change them.

I was impressed how even the implanting is. I’d never cut someone else's head before, it was an intimate experience. Shame the hair won’t grow so I can cut it again …

And the very last photo from today. The newly crew cut Rong looked so nice she ended up in the Captain’s bed - a proper first mate 😊

Rong with a crew cut is a revelation. I never knew I liked crew-cut-ed ladies. I like crew-cut Rong very much 🤗🥰. Mind blown 🤯.

Rong has returned to my office. She is very keen to be helpful. She’s said she’ll try not to be too distracting. Easier said than done as I really like her pixie look, makes her look so cute - every time I see her I want to give her a big hug 🤗.

Rong didn’t stay too long in my office. I realized after about 5 minutes she’s way too distracting, so I put her under my arm and carried her upstairs. Great she is so light. 26kg feels super light to me (maybe because I’m used to slightly heavier dolls.)

Funny, with long brown hair I wasn’t sure about her. Seemed too normal. With a crew cut I like her a lot.
