I stopped that because of damage to their hands. But nice memories of when I did.

You’re very naughty damaging their hands. You must be doing it wrong. All Mr Flibble’s dolls (some 5 years old now) still have perfect hands and feet. No broken fingers, no missing nails.

I think a torso for sleeping is best idea, no arms/hands and no cold feet just the cuddle parts and pretty face.

I learnt from my first doll (Aniyah I back in 2016, would take me another 5 years to get a doll) how best to sleep with a doll respecting her material vulnerabilities. It’s wrong to expect sleeping with a doll to be like sleeping with a human, it is not, you cannot treat a doll like a human lover, you need to learn how to respectfully sleep with a doll.

Aniyah III sleeps on a plush towel. And she has a plush towel over her. This means she’s always warm to the touch and very cuddly. Rarely is there skin to skin contact (even though she sleeps naked.) Any duvet goes over the top of that (sometimes I just keep a single duvet for myself.)

Her hands are still perfect:

As are her feet (these are usually under the over-towel and wearing socks for protection.) Aniyah is unique of my dolls for having boltless standing TPE feet (why the little pressure dimples at the back of her foot.)

When she’s sleeping, her hand closest to me is resting on her thigh. Her other hand flat against the bed. Both hands under her plush towel. I put my arm around her body (wrapped in warm plush towel) and cuddle her tight 🤗. I Iove cuddling dolls 🍻.

I think if anything, a plushie is the way to go.
ATM I use one of those long U shapes pillow made for pregnant ladies. Great for cuddling at night, and if you turn round you still have the other half of the pillow to cuddle.

My Jemma sleeps in bed with me every night. I have a plush blanket underneath her and the pose is similar to that described by CD - nearest hand on her thigh, furthest hand on the bed. But she has STPE skin which is very soft and warms up very quickly when I hug it.

Aniyah is very special to me. Being my original 2016 doll face. Aniyah III is better than Aniyah I (Aniyah II never happened…). Funny to think 9 years later I’m sleeping with the same doll face.

Aniyah is like perfect girlfriend material for me.

I hadn’t planned to have Aniyah in my office bed for so long, but she looks so comfortable there, I can’t currently bring myself to move her.

And yes, she is very pleasant to sleep with 🤗.
