OK, before I show the pics, I have to explain what led up to them. My wife is disabled, she runs around in her power chair. To get her to the store so she could shop to buy a robe so she wouldn't be cold, I bought a full sized van. I also made a sturdy wood ramp with side boards on it so she can just roll up and in. That thing is kinda heavy, so I put wheels on one side so I could tip it up and roll it. It's sturdy, you can jump up and down on it and it doesn't even budge.

Anyway, she'd gotten new 'Christmas' sheets for the bed. She wanted me to put them on, but I said NOT until you buy yourself a good robe so she didn't get cold in her jammies. So I'd change the sheets on the bed, she agreed to go get a nice fuzzy robe. Going out to the van, she eyed the ramp and asked if it would hold her. I told her the van is a 3/4 ton model, and assured her she wouldn't overload it. Next thing I knew, she ran over my foot.

Ouch.

She got up and in fine, but instead of driving out the driveway, I just went through the yard and jumped the curb to get on the street. Yup she got a bit excited. I chuckled -revenge! She wanted to know also why I accelerated hard now and then, taking a corner a bit too fast. I explained my foot was numb, I couldn't help it. :sneaky:

Anyway, at the store that was busy, I needed a place where I could unload and set up the ramp, so I parked in the 'no parking' in front of the store. A man came out to chastise me, but ended up helping me set the ramp up to gt her out, then get it back in the van so I could fine a place to park. I did, but it was a good walk BACK to the store. My foot apreciated that. She got her robe and a few other things. OK, MANY other things. We were there for much longer than I thought. Getting finished shopping, I trekked back out to the van and again pulled up in front of the store. With the ramp in place, her up and in, I didn't see anyone paying attention, so I just ran the shopping cart up and in, then tied that down too, then got the ramp back in.

So now I had to change the sheets. I got Tabitha up, Changed the sheets to the new ones. Then ...

Tabitha: " Wait, hold on! I got terrible bed-hair! You won't even brush my hair before I go back to bed?"

Me: "Sorry, I'm kinda busy right now. Let's get you settled."

Tabitha: "But... Hey, get BACK here! Ughh, KA can be a real pain at times!"
