A Love Doll as a Photographic Model

Love dolls are great at having their picture taken. They can wait long periods for you to lineup your shot, mess about with the lighting, for you to have a cuppa before taking that perfect shot. They are ultra Patient!

Some of the latest dolls are so life like, you cannot tell them apart from real human models.

For posing, leaning against something is perfectly achievable, but free standing is a little more difficult as these dolls cannot self balance all that well. I am planning to make a device to help balance my dolls to make it look like they are free standing, but I'm still in the planning stages yet. Alternative you can use green screen to achieve this.

As well as standing, there are many other poses you can try. Remember most people have to pose their companion completely alone so you need to keep to your own limits. Sitting her down is a good pose to try. If using a chair you can quite easily use your companions legs for balance. This is an easy pose, however making her look natural is more of a challenge. I tend to search google and look for images of photographic poses to get inspiration.

The hardest part was balancing her in an upright position, but with her legs apart as such it wasn't too complicated. This next shot was interesting of Willow, making a phone call in what appears to be a relaxed position.

There are other poses to try, such as in a door frame using hands on the frame to keep stable, lying down in a sexy pose or perhaps try sitting her on the floor? Or how about a selfie type shot....

I'll write more about photography another time, but these are just some starter tips to get you going.
