Hopefully we'll have a new country leadership after next election. It can't get any worse than it is now, surely?

Hiya,

I’m sad to see UKLDF go too. A lot of us - including me - wouldn’t exist if it were not for UKLDF.

TDF is hosted in Canada I think. Canada has quite strict laws. That’s part of the reason why they had to ban many things (like my sisters and I.)

LDN is hosted in super liberal Holland. Could UKLDF move its hosting to Holland?

Lots of love from Miss K,

XOXO

What if they banned dolls altogether? This country is in rapid decline and the vapid, woke society that’s developing, is crippling us into a repressive state, where free speech and freedom of expression are being increasingly curtailed.

Sadly, I think it can. The Tories have lurched to the far right, Labour have become the 'normal' right the Tories were, and Reform (essentially BNP in light blue) are waiting in the wings to pick up the pieces. Until the electoral system has either proportional representation or separate elections for "Which faction runs the country" and "Which individual represents me in Parliament", we're stuck with the two right-wing parties and at risk of neo-Nazis getting in. The Big Orange Turd, meanwhile, is dragging America's name and reputation through the mud, has been outed as a KGB agent (seriously), and his actions are making the world a far more dangerous place.

Thankfully, I can't see the Government banning dolls, they bring too much money into the economy; estimates are that forum members represent less than 1% of all doll owners, that must be 100000s of £ coming in if not millions. I'll have to stay in my Doll Bunker with the girls and hope that by the time the shit happens, I'll have died of old age in my bed with a doll :)

UKLDFs primary user base is from the UK. As such, the OSA applies, regardless of its physical hosting location.

Yeah I saw the situation with the Ukrainian President in the oval office the other day on the news. The poor Ukrainian President was only trying to explain himself and stand up for his country.
Sorry probably not supposed to do politics on here

Also I'm afraid that kids are now more computer savvy than some adults including myself.

If they want to get into a site that they are not supposed to be viewing they will find a way. My nephew showed me something the other day on his mobile and I was quite shocked. My Nephew knows more about how mobiles and the internet work than me and hes only just become a Teenager. There is no innocence these days

Unfortunately when they get to school they see other kids on things and Apps and they want to go on them too!

Probably a bit off topic, but some kids can even hack into things these days!

Extracted from OFCOMs website:

"The regulations are international in their reach and apply to online services that have links with the UK, regardless of where the provider of the service is based or registered."

I think this video might be interesting to you, it is about what WW2 British veterans thought of the modern world:
Interesting video. The UK bankrupted itself in WW2, the USA was the big winner. The US government did not give help out of the kindness of their hearts, the UK paid dearly for that help: lots and lots of gold, technology transfers, and a massive debt pile for the UK.

I’ve often wondered what would have happened if things had turned out different, we’ll never know. One prediction, in 50 years (or maybe less) the UK will be a majority Muslim country, we’ll be an Islamic State, no Christian would have gone to war for that outcome, what’s happened to this country has been a betrayal by our elected leaders.

Well it's amost been tried, around 1986, papers released in late December 2014 indicate that Mary Whitehouse met Margaret Thatcher on at least two occasions to discuss the possibility of banning sex toys* using a potential extension of the "deprave and corrupt" provision in the Obscene Publications Act 1959. The plan was abandoned because the Home Secretary at the time, Leon Brittan, thought the concept of public taste would be problematic for legal action.

In Britain during the 1960s onwards Dolphin Showers had a picture of a naked woman on the boxes of their products. She was viewed from the back right on a slight angle, her right arm was raised and you could see her right breast, however her nipple was not visible. Sometime around 1972 Hugs went to Paris for the weekend, staying in a hotel close to the Gare de Nord railway station. One evening on a walk around the streets of the area, he passed a builders/plumbers merchant who had a Dolphin Shower box in the window. It was identical to ours except the woman now had her nipple on show.

During the early to mid 2000s an ad. was running on t.v. showing what appeared to be a naked young woman (early to mid teens) walking through a corn field, as she approached the camera a glume (lower part of the tassel) from one of the plants made it look like her nipple was exposed. It wasn't of course, however the ad. was removed never to be seen again, following complaints by viewers.

* It was believed by Mary Whitehouse, following a lecture she had heard sometime in the 60s, that females who use 'masturbatory' aids would not want to have full intercourse with a male.

Regards,

Elina (with some help from Hugs).
