Hiya everyone, well the Ghost Tour Bus has arrived for my trip around ghostly Edinburgh, I'm regretting it a bit now as I'm a bit of a chicken when it comes to scary things 😯
but I didn't want to let the side ( you guys ) down
Yeah hi Sis,😊 well I couldnt let you do this on your own, and i know you were worried so I thought I'd join you. Yes guys and girls I still have my Kinky Boots, remember them.
Well Coco it's called St. Cuthbert Kirkyard or graveyard. It's a has a historical connection to the notorious crime in the 1800s of body snatching.
Due to the high demand for cadivers by medical schools, the graveyard was once the frequent target for grave robbers, leading to the construction of a watchtower and raising the walls around the graveyard to prevent unauthorised access.
Apparantly two famous bodysnatchers Burke and Hare frequented these graveyards, they also murdered 16 people and it says in the booklet that some folk have seen some strange looking vapours around the graves with a strange smell that accompanies them, which some believe to be the rotting souls of Burke and Hare looking for more bodies to snatch😯
No I haven't Coco, what a thing to ask, if I've trumped I thought it was you after eating those meatballs that Buffy made you. Yes Bobby told me in a text, said they were delicious 😋
Well theres nothing really scary here, but there is a really bad stench like rotten eggs! I don't know where it's coming from 🤔 can you guys on the forum see anything besides us here?
Well might as well get back on the bus and go to the underground vaults
Well the Edinburgh Vaults were constructed in the 18th Century under the South Bridge in Edinburgh to provide storage and workshops for businesses, but poor construction led to to dampness and leakage.
The Vaults soon became a hidden underworld by the cities poor immigrants, and those involved in illegal activity like gambling and prostitution. Also Burke and Hare operated from here to at one time in their trade of selling bodies. Also there is talk of a witches coven too.
Apparantly they were eventually sealed up and forgotten, until the 1980s when they were rediscovered😯🎃
No I bloody haven't, ☹ a bit of a waste of money this Ghost trip. No ghosts or ghoulies around here that I can see anyway☹ but it was fun to spend some time with you Thea😊
Okay Coco, I know what, why dont you stay over, i have the room and we can watch a non scary movie. I know a nice little coffee shop that sells great hot chocolate😋😊
