Sorry about all that Mr Story. I was off making a cup of tea and Red took advantage of me not being here.
I have banned her from posting at all for at least two weeks. Perhaps you need a new class of "Really naughty doll/bunny". I'm sure Sara could act as judge and jury on who should be in that class.

That is a very interesting idea my Tex! I'll have a word with her about it. PM me your thought as to what this class should be.

Just updated the terms and privacy pages. Let me know if anything has been left out or is not clear.

I have been working on the articles recently, these should be completed soon. Once they are, the old site will be deleted.

There's going to be some major updates to the forum over the coming days.

Just updated the search engine to advanced.
When you look at someones profile page, you now start with their about page instead of posts page.
There's a few behinds the scenes changes.

Just a few that you'll notice

A little change to attachments, no thumbnail as they can be resized for instance.
Each person can get a country flag on their profile
Thread starter will get a banner
Better list of recently onlines
Birthday thread automatically started on your birthday, so get your birth dates upgraded so you can get pampered :)
People that haven't posted will get updates to latest happenings on the site, then if thy don't respond after a year will get purged automatically.

OK here are a few upgrades i have done...

Advanced Search
Allows searching thread titles and post content using exact text.

Attachment list plus
Improves look of attachment list below posts. For those that don't want to attach attachments into the body of posts.

Birthday Thread
Will automatically create a thread in the open forum for Birthdays.

Inactive Members
Sends an email to inactive members once a month showing most popular 15 topics.

Delete Users
Purge members that hasn't posted more than 5 times in 365 days.

Admin can change Author
For instance, when you start a thread instead of your doll, it can now be corrected.

Forum Titles SEO
Adds forum titles to SEO for search engines.

The new site looks to be doing well :) , with lots of posts per day, and yes I love it(y), and my Kemble Theatre site as well(y), think the new site will be the new up coming site for Dolls, and one of the best in the UK very soon.
Mr Story has put much effort into the site, and send congrats on doing all this amazing work, as we do at the Old Kemble Theatre year by year, the Kemble differs a lot from most other Doll sites, and I hope you like what we post from the Kemble here too.
Christmas is just days away and much work went on at the Kemble to bring not just a Christmas to remember at the Kemble site, but here too.
So we all hope you enjoy the shows and movies, not all will show, but much of what we can, a marry Christmas to you all, Lady-J.

Just finished off most of the Articles. Just "Caring for your doll" to do but times have changed since I wrote that. Now I don't know what is best anymore LOL!

Times change as seen in my big Christmis Movie, hope things don't change that much:mad:, there is a chance for members to jump into time line and a chance to jump out again(y), we may never get that chance again:unsure:

On the forum, by the way, a number of subject areas say "Members only" but which are inacessible.

Apologies for absences. Life has sort of changed around in the last few years with headaches of one sort and another, becoming more serious in different ways, with a fire caused by a dehumidifier causing smoke damage through much of the house and other things rather distracting me from dolls. I'm having to change career and building a new one rather from scratch based on 20 years research, but in an arena which is largely a closed shop - so a challenge.

On account of so many factors over the coming 18 months or so most of my dolls will have to find new homes :-(

As for the forums been locked, I noticed you have only made 6 posts and some of the fourums need more to open to you. The Forum for Members for instance, needs you to have made 30 posts. This is to stop bad apples seeing everything, straight away.

Another frustration has been with reviews which if detailing important bits get pulled from YouTube :-(

Another distraction for time is a campaign to make music more interesting. The modern tuning of instruments really took off not for the purpose of making music and expressing emotion but for selling expensive pianos to status-symbol buyers who knew nothing about the music and just wanted an impressive sound when playing a few notes. Pulling a whole industry around is a Herculean task.

Theres at least a couple of us on here that use https://mediazilla.com/ to play videos. Its a private video player that doesn't have a public screen, but you can share video file just like you can youtuve. You just have to paste the url on a page and it just plays.

You have to pay though :P

As for music, try using Ai to create your music. I haven't getting into it yet, but I am currently working on a short movie starring Willow and Dani, two of my characters based on the dolls I used to have. I'm making a little company just for my video stories, I need to come up with a name.... something like The Doll Files?
