While they do add an air of sophistication, I find them a distraction at best and an uglifier at worst. The 'schoolmarm', 'librarian', and similar looks are great for cosplay shots if the theme demands it ...
but for anything else they spoil the look of our girls' beautiful faces or make the girl look as if she's scowling or looking down on us :( When I first wore glasses, they made me look like some bank manager about to foreclose on somebody's mortgage :LOL:
For that matter, the same applies to hair being tied up in a bun. "Omen Girl" 's style is in part inspired by that of several Asian women; they often tie up their hair and many wear glasses; but one I knew personally occasionally wore her hair down and (very rarely) took off her glasses, if only for cleaning; she looked a lot better and more approachable for it; it was like night and day.
