Galleries

The Galleries (and there are several across the site) are a special part of the forum.

The Main Gallery is linked in the shortcut bar at the top of the site, or in the hamburger menu on mobile devices. It automatically displays images from the last 30 days, pulled from pictures added to forum posts. As the site is very active, this can mean 1,000+ images for full members who have access to all content.

Image Visibility & Member Levels
What images you can see depends on your forum access level:
  • Guests can only view images from public forums.
  • Member-only forums and their images are hidden from the public.
As a result, guests typically see only about one third of all available images in the Main Gallery.

Forum Galleries

Each forum has its own Gallery. These can be accessed by clicking the Gallery (camera) icon on the Forums (home) page. You will only see images from forums you have permission to access.

Member Galleries
Every member also has their own personal Gallery, accessible from their profile page. Members can:
  • Have their gallery open to everyone, including public
  • Make it members-only
  • Set their gallery to self-only
  • Turn it off completely
Members have full control over their own gallery visibility.

Gallery Filters & Preferences

Members can customise what they see in Galleries:
  • Hot and/or Mild Chilli images can be turned off
  • AI images from the AI and AI Art forums can also be hidden if there are too many showing
Turning these off effect all Galleries. You can still access these images by opening the relevant forum Gallery via the camera icon — provided you have permission.

How do you adjust the size of a photo when you share it in a post. I tried posting a photo from my album and it shows way larger in the post than it is in the album.

If you click on the picture when in edit mode, you should be able to drag the corners to resize the picture. I don't think you can change the size on a mobile though.

I use this app on my iPhone to resize the images. Usually something like 650-700 wide by 900 high.

There is a free download available called PhotoScape which I have used for years. It will allow you to resize photos as well as enhancing etc. To post a photo on here you want something about 800 x 600 pixels.
