Looking good Kim.
Please don't do the newbie thing of washing your dolls body too often. It will damage the skin. It really just needs doing once or twice a year. Clean dirt or makeup off areas using Extra Virgin Olive Oil and something like kitchen roll. I'm sure other more experienced members can advise more on that. (I need to update the article on doll
I use baby oil rather than olive oil, but that’s just personal preference. I wash the doll if i’ve been doing a lot of photography with it and a lot of fluff or specks of dirt have stuck to the tpe. I think I’ve done Jemma twice in a year - then oil after washing and patting with a soft cloth (don’t rub the skin, just gently pat it dry). I usually stand the doll in a room with windows/doors open to get an air flow so it dries quickly and completely. Then I rub baby powder all over the skin to make it feel soft.
Sometimes, if I see strains in the tpe around the joints (armpits and groin are the most frequent) because of all the moving and posing for photos, then I’ll just oil and powder those areas to help protect them - I oiled those on Jemma yesterday.
