Howdy Mr Story,
Personally, I have zero interest in an AI generated art forum (but I did have a quick look and you've done a good job). Yes, there is some cool stuff out there already like -
Gencraft: AI art generator, AI photos, AI image variations, and editor - but I have no desire to keep looking at pictures generated from someone inputting a text prompt into an AI and hoping something good comes out the end.
Also, AI uses a lot of CPU cycles, energy and heat in the process, hardly good for the environment. You notice how those climate alarmists (like Bill Gates) have gone quiet (or reversed their position) on net-zero now they see there is money in AI and ever bigger datacentres, requiring ever more energy. AI is fuelling an insatiable appetite for energy. Is this the end of the net-zero grift!?
One thing that might be an idea though. On each post you could say stuff like:
- Source photo (if there was one)
- AI Chatbot used
- Prompt used
That would be useful if someone comes across the AI content and wants to know how they could do it themselves. I think an AI art forum sharing the knowledge on how it was done, might be something different, and not just another AI gallery.
Kind regards,
Cuthbert
PS I've always thought net zero was a load of b0ll0cks, and AI is proving it. Still, I've always believed in conservation of resources too, I don't believe in waste - I think this is simply a common sense position.
PPS Just realized that gencraft site includes the prompt too 😆.
