Hi all,

I’ve been following some of the discussions here for a while and it’s clear there’s a lot of real experience in this community, so I thought I’d ask something that’s been on my mind.

I’m UK-based and looking into how attitudes toward sexbots are evolving, especially compared to traditional companion dolls.

It feels like the tech is advancing quickly, but I’m not sure whether that actually translates into wider appeal.

For those of you who’ve been around this space:

– Do you think more autonomous / interactive sexbots would genuinely enhance the experience?
– Or is there a point where “too much tech” takes away from what people value?
– Do you see them staying niche, or slowly becoming more accepted over the next 5–10 years?

I’ve also put together a short anonymous survey (around 5 minutes, 18+ only) to gather broader opinions. It’s purely perspective-based — no promotion, no personal data.

If you’d like to contribute, here’s the link:

But equally, I’d be really interested to hear people’s thoughts directly in this thread. I’m trying to understand where the community genuinely stands at the moment.

Appreciate any input.

I have put this link to chatgpt that says it leads to a valid subdomain of wjx.cn, which is part of 问卷星 (Wenjuanxing) — a legitimate online survey platform widely used in China to create questionnaires and research forms. There doesn't appear to be anything that is harmful.

I always think these kind of surveys are important if you want furture technology (including sex dolls), to be what you wish them to be.

Just done the survey, easy and just missed any questions that I deemed to personal. There were not many. 👍

Thank you, I really appreciate you taking the time to check the link and share your thoughts😆
It means a lot, especially coming from someone who helps keep the community running.
And thank you as well for completing the survey and really grateful for the openness here!!!!

Hiya,

I think all sexbots are ready for is a big spank!

It will be decades before there are realistic companion robot dolls at an affordable price for mainstream acceptance.

Lots of love from Miss K,

I don't think dolls or Sexbots will ever be truly 'mainstream'. Yes, they may become more acceptable, but this is more of a hobby/individual interest more like some people like their vintage cars, or collecting whatever it is they like to collect, or do activities. I know some people love skydiving. I did that once. Yeah, it was a scary thrill, but for me, once was enough. Same with flying ultralight planes. 10 minutes in the air, never did it again. shooting sports, skeet / trap / plain target shooting, I can do all day until the ammo runs out.
It all depends upon what the person wants to do.

Yes - Functional reliable affordable sex bots are DEFINITELY decades away. the current minimal lower tech offerings on dolls like oral, suction, licking, heating, etc are generally not particularly reliable or long lasting.
No doubt the tech exists if only in theory but it will be a very long time before it filters down to a price level where enough manufacturers would implement it and typical doll buyers would purchase.
currently the practicalities just don’t exist - even if you could buy your dream doll fully functional sex bot. She would likely cost a fortune but more importantly require very reliable ongoing tech support and lets face it most current doll manufacturers currently struggle to supply a doll with a reliable skeleton structure. Almost all dolls are made in Asia and made down to a price rather than up to a standard.
Most “typical” doll buyers me included are budget constrained regardless of how much we want that “dream doll”. Given the quantity of sex bot dolls that would need to be manufactured to benefit from any economies of scale the market is just too small - Sex bots would need to be built in similar quantities as cars or IPhones to be affordable by anyone except very rich connoisseurs.

As an example you only have to consider the £billions Tesla (cars) has invested and most days there are photos of faulty Teslas on fire online.!

I believe 'sex robots' will always be a very niche market regardless of cost. Dolls in the're present market are pretty mainstream, most people know of there exsistance now. I think going forward, doll manufacturers should concentrate on producing higher quality dolls and widen their markets rather than planning for the next best thing, AI technology included. Get the basic products perfect first! Skeletons, Silicone/TPE mix, makeup, wig quality etc.

I definitely agree- it’s bad enough having to perform surgery on a doll to repair a skeleton joint. If dolls are filled with hi tech gadgets it’s all very nice when they’re working perfectly but what about routine maintenance, upgrades and repairs etc…… current doll manufacturers won’t even offer a warranty for body heating which is relatively simple, cheap and low tech.
