I cut the legs off some tights. Works great. Just make sure your doll isn't in the tights when you cut the legs off 🤣

I just used ankle socks and elastic band. Trying to figure out if OPs post is April 1st related.

It’s the 31st March and, I’m just trying to help.

I’ve tried all the above before and still ended up with finger pokes, fabric snags and when your doll has very small fingers it’s really not hard to cause damage, normally with tight clothing. Was determined that wouldn’t happen with my new ladies.

Been doing this for a week now and, not a single poke to be seen.

Something solid and funnel shaped helps the garment slide over and, protects the hand.

This is a good solution.

I ran around the cut edge with a lighter, it’s got almost like a bevelled edge.

Yes, put socks on their hands and when putting on a pant leg or shirt sleeve, reach up inside of from the cuff with your hand and hold her fingers or toes before you pull it up. This keeps her fingers from getting caught in the cloth.

This worked with some dolls but sadly not my SLE’s, they have really dainty fingers and found no matter how careful I was, I still got pokes eventually, mostly with very tight clothing.

With the plastic, that can’t happen now because there’s absolutely no pressure on her hands at any point :)

That is how I've been doing it but without the sock. For the most part it works but occasionally a finger will get hung up and she flips me the bird.

My only issue is, the gen 1 & 2 SLE’s have such tiny fingers that it’s not long before the metal starts to appear sadly.
