This is not an original post as credit must be given to another member on the TDF but thought I would bring it to the attention here.

We all know that changing eyes on TPE heads can seem daunting, not so much the process itself but the risk of damaging eyelashes, makeup, etc can make you wonder if it is worth the hassle, especially if the new eye colour does not suit.

This is on Amazon, called the Vacuum Pen, it has a sucker that measures 15mm across and can be used to “pull out” the eyes once a suction has been achieved. It can also be used to put the eye back in without having to mess about with eye edges catching on TPE.

I have bought one and it should be arriving in a couple of days so will be interesting to try out.

This may be useful to others. When Aurora arrived one eye appeared to open wider than the other. I thought perhaps I could trim the eyelid, attach a new eyelash, redo the make up and solve my problem. However when I removed the eyes to examine the eyelids more closely I found that the wider opening eye had more padding behind it, so I added some cotton wool to the other eye and balanced them up!

I’ve bought a number of hemispherical eye supports instead of using cotton wool . These can be adjusted so that a more or less of the eye is showing in the socket.

That tool is a good idea. when I got Julia, I ordered a few sets of eyes with her so I could try different colours. However, with the amount of people who had to reinstall eye lashes after their eye removal caused damage, I was afraid to try. If I'd had that tool I may have been more encouraged.
