Mr Bobby, really it would be better if the Job Center were disbanded, and we went back to where firms had to do it themselves, we get many calls from the Job Centre, in main just to say what a great job they have done, in being there, in main they don't help much, as you found out in a job you thought was there but in fact was not there at all:(.

They spend there time working on loads of bull, that should never be in place, Bob and Timbo have told them all that, but they really don't want to hear it, maybe it's about time they all went on the job list, then you would have a lot better chance of getting a job, Lady-J(y)

Oh yeah I'd second that, the fact that the dolls don't get pushed out to their own forum and can interact with humans and other dolls. That separates this forum from the others that still exist.

I think that is a positive, personally and could be somehow put into our title at some point, like ' Our Doll Community, Where Dolls Come Alive ' 😁

Well I think they have to deal with other things as well, like housing benefit and new claims, etc, etc

To be honest I personally blame the Government and the DWP. A lot of the time you only get a 10 minute chat and then on to the next customer. One of the Job Coaches told me once the Government funding is crap that they recieve. Firstly I don't think they get the proper training to do the job, secondly they need a lot more staff, that's down to the DWP and the Government, not them and I dont think they should have to deal with disability issues and housing benefit, it's become more of a benefits office than a Jobcentre. There should be a separate benefits office in each town to deal with that.

Then they would be able to focus 100% on helping folk with Jobs and nothing more. Part of the training should be in customer service and how to treat the customer, a bit like Fedcap do.

Thing is if there was nothing there a minority of those out of work, wouldnt even be motivated to find a job and would just spend their lives on Universal Credit and housing benefit.

Also the Jobcentre is not a welcoming place theres security guards everywhere to stop any issues or hassles if folk don't get their benefits, that should be dealt with by a benefits office, but Governments have tried to merge the benefits side with the Job side and clearly it doesn't work in practice!

Well with all the hoops the Jobcenter has had you jump through, you might qualify for a job with the circus! :ROFLMAO:

Well I'm afraid some of them are just paper pushers and yes men/women and I suspect like most jobs these days they have targets to hit.

The problem is that it looks good if they can just get people into any job, regardless of whether they want the job. I also suspect that they get those who just don't want to work and live of the state, including housing benefit, etc., but everyone is just thrown in the same basket, there are a couple that work there that treat each person as an individual, but that's about it

The problem that exists is that most folk that are working are struggling to pay their rent and Bills, unless you are in a high position in this country. It's near enough impossible to get a mortgage, unless you earn a certain amount and then you have to sweat for most of your life to pay it off, doing all the overtime that's offered and not being able to enjoy life and I'm talking about couples.

If you're single, no chance, unless you win the lottery.

Also the problem is if you get a job and it dosent work out or the company don't think you're up to it they can get rid of you before your probationary period is over and then you have to have a good excuse to go back on benefits, otherwise you are sanctioned, it happened to a friends daughter, she was bullied by her boss, because she had problems with anxiety and mental health issues. The Job centre believed the company, not the daughter, so no benefits for her, luckily she lives at home still

Same BS here. In order to receive benefits you have to have earned 10 times the benefit amount prior to loosing your job through no fault of your own. Then, in order to keep receiving benefits you have to make two (in person) job contacts a week, listing them on your weekly claim form. Problem with that of course, if you contact a potential employer in person, they tell you to apply online...

Then, should you be offered a job, regardless of how crappy it may be, you have to take it or loose benefits. If you quit or get the boot, you're ineligible to receive benefits, until such time as you earn 10 times your weekly benefit amount and loose your job through no fault of your own...

We have a journal to fill out online for job applications we've made and messages etc, and our commitments that we have to agree to do otherwise we can be sanctioned

Yeah, ours is all online now too. Use to be you had to stand in the big loser line outside the unemployment building all day, rain or shine. Good news is, once you actually manage to qualify for benefits, you can apply for food vouchers and medical aid. Bad news is, your former employer can dispute the claim even after you're receiving benefits and if they win you have to pay everything back. That happened to me once and I had to pay back 4 months worth of benefits! Oh and at the end of the year, you have to declare your benefits as income and pay tax on them. Generally though, if you've received benefits for a year or more, you'll fall below the poverty line and the tax is waived... :rolleyes:

Morning, well after that terrific phone call from the Job Centre, poor Bobby just wants to give up🤣🤣

The Manager wants him to apply for an events Steward, pay to get to these events, even though hes own Universal Credit and some of them are miles away, then when he gets paid from from the event he will loose a lot of his Universal Credit. I think the Jobcentre are clutching at straws, it's not even full time 35 hours, which is part of his Job commitment contract he has to sign.

Anyway a lovely day in Sussex, really hot last night, so just stayed in my thong and Bobby just slept without a duvet and laid his head in top of Coco. She didn't seem to mind.

I was up all night working on my website, too hot to sleep.

Morning, lovely day again and yipee! It's my day off.

Well I just plan to chill out today and relax. Bobby is out helping his Sister this morning and Coco is out for the count🤣🤣

Hopefully Bobby may take me out at the weekend for a little trip if its nice😁

Hi everyone, very busy day yesterday. I stayed late as we were hosting a party at the Gelato parlour for a customer.

When I got home i was hot, sweaty and knackered, so i just went to bed.

Well apparantly Bobby is taking me out tomorrow, as I have the weekend off, 😊hopefully we can go down the coast and just chill on the beach together, maybe with an ice cream

We normally ask Coco, but she just likes to catch up on her beauty sleep😴
