Here's naughty Ivana sliding down the bannister.

We don't really have the right house for sliding down bannisters.

PS The first photo was using photo lights for the first time (they arrived earlier in the week). The below is when we didn't use lights. Do you think the lights helped?

Very Brave of Ivana sliding down such a high banister. She could have fallen and hurt herself. Ohhh, she is made from cloth, so should be immune from fall damage. Whew.

Lighting. I think the first shot is a little blown out, I like the second shot better. Remember to put the lights to one side for best results. If there is a dimmer turn it up and down for the best exposure (no burnt out parts). You'll get it.

There's loads of online articles and videos showing how to get the best out of lighting. Personally I never take the pic with the light full on level with the camera, I always try to make one side of the model or the face darker than the other to help bring out the shape, and separate from the background.

Not that there's much option with the banister shot as there isn't a lot of room. But second shot shows that lights were not needed for this shot. Natural light is usually much better when you can get it at right angle.

Many thanks for the comment. Mr Flibble was thinking he'd over done it a bit. Poor Ivana was like a bunny in car headlights.

Really, Mr Flibble was trying to give enough light to simulate opening the front door (which would have let in a nice bit of natural light.) Never know who's walking past, so opening the front door is not an option. He definitely overdid it. Instead of some lovely natural light seeping in, it's like something's gone supernova in Ivana's face.

Not a super expensive one but Decent... All the new pics are with this... Definitly works better with the flash or good light from the window... Has a Video option as well so that's cool...
