Our low budget 15" gauge Railroad Project

We are building a 15" gauge freight tramway between the back lane and our house. Primarily to move heavy objects in and out.

Aside from the Wheels we got off Amazon, the garden stakes/fence posts from Dollarama and a few nuts bolts and screws, it is mostly being built with scrounged free materials. We haven't found an affordable source of proper rails, so we ar constructing them with the garden stakes and some bed iron.

Some time in the future we might get energetic and build a Lokie (small Locomotive), but for now we plan to make it a cable tram.
We will keep adding photos and updates as the project progresses.

Some progress was made this week and last.
We got our makeshift rail bender working last week. with that we were able to make the curve toward the laneway and a good start on a turnout by the welding bench.

(More to come on the turnout at a later date.)

Today we decided it's time to finish a few details on the cart
