Lucid Toys Suck!

I went to Kiddlington today, to pick up a new doll from Lucid Toys warehouse. Not that I needed a new doll, but my last two doll purchases had been a bit of a fail, so I thought, maybe 3rd time lucky something will go right. Now I am starting to think the Lord is sending me a message "thou shalt not get any more dolls - you naughty boy!" 😆

This was what I ordered (it's a YouQDoll on the same body as Gracie Bardot's YouQDoll 166A.)
And this is what I got after I'd opened the box.

The packaging was terrible. There hardly was any packaging. Hands and feet were unprotected. Head was just rolling about without any face protection (a miracle the eyelashes hadn't been damaged.) The plastic packaging had been torn.

All I did was remove a pink towel, and some air bag packing material, and the below was what I saw (after moving the head, which was on its side facing a leg.)

Very clearly, this doll had been unpacked before, and not packed back properly. Perhaps even taken out of the box and then put back in the wrong box.

Clearly, this is the wrong doll. Wrong body (those are not A cups!), wrong face. Absolute shambles!
Nothing but Lucid taking their wrong doll back and giving me a full refund is acceptable.

I had a conversation with them on something similar maybe 3 or 4 years ago. Basic packaging was pretty much non exsistant which I conveyed to the Gaffer, think it was Salash or something like that.

Anyway, he goes talks to the warehouse guys and their solution was to line the box with thin ply to save puncturing the box. My reply to "How the fuck does that stop the Doll rattling around inside of the box you Fuckwit?" went unanswered.

Not bothered with them at all since.

I had one from Lucid that was just like that! Astoundingly she was undamaged so I didn’t bother to make a fuss. , she had obviously been rolling around inside the box. That was the most poorly packaged of all the approx 10 doll purchases from them. At the time I thought just the same thing- that she had been taken out to show someone or photograph etc and then replaced with virtually no packaging. I suppose one out of 10 isn’t too bad in the low budget doll world as the others were fine. I am sorry this has happened to you. They should’ve learnt by now….!!!

Yes, I remember Salash Motiani.

It is not hard to find his name as he's the registered director for Neojoy Limited in the Companies House filings (there are a few other companies at that address too):
https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/10567782/officers

I met Salash once and he seemed like quite a nice guy.

The problem is probably staff. I cannot imagine it pays much being a warehouse officer for a sex doll warehouse. When experienced people leave, the replacements probably haven't got a clue what they are doing. Actually, the problem is one of training, not staff - the new staff are not trained properly.

There used to be a black dude, would grab the box in one arm and carry it to your car (so it stayed horizontal). I actually learnt from seeing him do that, that I could do the same thing. The staff is different this time, I helped carry the box to my car.

Funnily enough, when I was driving away, I did think "hmmm ... I wish I'd had the opportunity to look inside the box before leaving".

Real shame because the doll I ordered looked really nice. I'd go direct via YouQDoll next time. I won't be trusting Lucid again.

This doll was really lucky I'd been to the warehouse to collect. I've mastered the knack of keeping the box pretty horizontal. DPD / another~courier would have tossed the box all over the place.

I've packed the doll back up again, much better then they packed it. Her head cannot roll around now. I put some extra packing in there.

Lucid are just a total lottery. I would say only 50% of the dolls I've had from there have been particularly good and worth keeping.

Two of my favourite dolls are Lucidians - Melina & Gracie Bardot.

When you've only really got a 50% chance of getting a quality doll, you'd actually save money going to a boutique doll vendor. Like if I buy two dolls for £850 from Lucid (£1700), and only one is good vs I buy one doll from a boutique doll vendor for say £1500 and get a good doll, the boutique doll vendor wins (by £200). And of course, you can customize things the way you want with a boutique doll vendor and have much more choice.

Which reminds me of the time I killed a company called "Love Doll Boutique" (okay, wasn't really me, was Border Farce) ...
I think this is their YouTube channel - https://www.youtube.com/@LoveDollBoutique/videos - but their shop website died not long after Aragaki Nagasawa (Elsababe 150 Medium Breast) was seized back in late 2021.

The problem is undoubtedly staff, I don't really expect a salesman to understand the ins and outs of shipping logistics but their commonsense should kick in about loose objects within a box. That and the fact I was complaining about their lack of care sending a product and not potential preventative measures, which they might take but more likely not, on a future purchase. There's something about pork and stupid out there somewhere.

I doubt for anything more than a few seconds their Warehouse men are on much more than minimum wage and if they are then it's generous for being payed only from the neck down. Management needs to take responsibility and provide a minimum acceptable training programme.

LOL! Read the latest 1 star Trustpilot review for Lucid by Rach. That sound so like my issue:

https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/lucidtoys.com?stars=1
"i ordered a doll with small breast -they send me massive breast and a different head/unatractive face"

I hope I'm not going to have a fight on my hands to get a refund.

Must admit, reading the bad reviews; and having had great customer service from boutique love doll companies (like Cloud Climax, My Robot Doll, Real Love Sex Dolls - whenever had a problem it was professionally resolved to my satisfaction); I'd need my head examining if I were to use Lucid again.

Wish me luck that I get a refund 🤞

Sorry to hear she was the wrong doll, well they will loose their reputation in the end. Even if they are cheaper. I mean its still a lot of money and i class a TPE as a luxury item whom ever its from.

They should take pride in their job, and have a quality control section and check the ladies before they ship them out to make sure they are packaged correctly and they are the right doll.

Maybe i should get a job there, as quality control Manager. They would have to pay for a place for me to stay and a good salary, i used to work in a retail warehouse and we had click and collect. Nothing went out unless it was checked beforehand.

I imagine they have no real interest in Doll ladies or their welfare and just see them as TPE pleasure toys. Or just products they can make money on. They dont see them like we do.

Maybe get a Valentina Girl Mr. Hunt. Robert cares about his ladies and they are always shipped out well and packaged well and they are in Sweden. They do real heads too, which are a lot more realistic than my ladies heads and will last a very long time, yeah i know they are plush, Robert will create any type of lady you can imagine. From a vampire to an Alien, a slim doll, cury doll, BBW lady, mature, big breasts, small ones

Ive had Coco nearly 3 years and shes a basic model, no damage or real issues

Well a lot of it is, they dont really give a crap about the doll ladies. They are just seen as objects. You wouldnt treat a new car like that, that a customer purchased

Thanks for the support guys.

Lets see if Lucid do right by this.

A company's true value shows when problems happen. Good firms fix mistakes fast. They treat customers with respect.

If they sort it out in a professional manner, don't mess me around, and make changes to make sure it doesn't happen again to anyone else, I'll put it down to just a very bad experience and move on.

I’ve bought 11 dolls from Lucid. No problems with most of them, but one body was disastrous with massive hips and tiny breasts, even though it was advertised as average hips with large breasts. Another was a completely different Doll. One already had fingerpokes. I don’t know if I’d buy any more from them.I think the only way to be sure of getting what you want is to arrange to visit the warehouse and actually have them open the box and you look at the Doll you want before buying it.
Anyway, if I get another Doll, I want it to be silicone as I’ve never had one

Good News 🍻

Lucid have apologized and agreed to a full refund upon return of the package. Thank you Lucid.

I volunteered to drop the doll off at Lucid tomorrow morning (Friday) at 0900. It's just over 30 miles away, no big deal. And I'm way better than a courier (I keep doll boxes flat).
