Playing trams

Our new layout is made on half a wallpaper pasting table , keeping it simple and small so it can be played with in the living room (that’s when mr track gets old and can’t get in the loft 😁)
Bla , bla , we start half way through as the track had to be lifted because of a crossed wire , but the fault was in one of the turnouts .
The track for both tram and bus is by Tomix , trams are Tomix and Kato , bus are home built using Base Toys and Oxford die-cast utilising Tomix bus chassis.

Hi Lesly , it is N scale , 9mm track , we are using 140mm curves and turnouts , Tomix do super mini 106mm curves . Unlike Kato Tomix track is single, and using their railway turnouts with fill in sections to complete the road way , to make double track the next radius clips along side , as do the roadway for their moving bus .

Here’s pretty little me with our latest 5 unit tram from Tomix , it runs nice but unlike Kato is does’nt have lights .
You buy the tram , and chassis separately, then just unclip the tram chassis and clip the motorised one in .
