New UK law regarding short dolls.???

I have absolutely no idea if there’s any truth in this at all but I thought it worth a mention. According to a post on Reddit today a law has recently been passed making it ILLEGAL to own a doll under 148 cm in the UK. Previously of course it was only illegal to import a shorter doll but not to own one. I doubt this can be correct as there would have been far more publicity surrounding any such law change but you just never know. This doesn’t affect most of us anyway as far as I know (as of course we have tall / adult dolls) but it never hurts to keep track of this sort of thing………

Sounds like nonsense to me - this would make Action Man, Barbie and Sindy illegal to name but a few! Well all girls toy dolls are well under 148cm, frequently under 30cm!

I think it’s a Law that pertains only to dolls that have clearly been designed for a ‘specific purpose’ 😁

Personally, I wish the establishment would just eff off and stop meddling in people’s lives and actually start serving the people for once. If I had the power (like He-Man), I’d burn down the houses or parliament, the houses of Lords, the Monarchy, the woke Church of England, the judiciary, the BBC and most of the civil service. If the establishment really gave a sh!t about kids, why didn’t they stop those Pakistani Muslim r&pe gangs!? Why didn’t they stop Jimmy Saville!?

I honestly don’t give a stuff if someone has a small sex doll, it’s just a toy, people need to keep things in perspective (but absolutely, if they were a child diddler they should have the death penalty.)

Well, I read the government website and it didn’t specify a minimum height. It just said sex dolls that were clearly children. So, you could be okay, Carly.

How does anyone sexually abuse a doll, it’s a toy. Might as well say people are sexually abusing their onaholes or dildos.

Also, I doubt we have any child like dolls in the UK anymore since they’ve been banned for like a good decade. No one makes dolls in the UK. I reckon the MP sponsoring this has watched too much sh!t on social media, done zero research, and thinks we have the same toys in the UK that they have in Japan (which is regarded as being a safe country for women and children - probably safer than the UK.)

To be honest lots have there dolls for one thing and that is loneliness, that bill would put suicide high on the list, and mental health for many, that they really can't deal with in these times.

Just the worry of maybe just owing a doll due to loneliness, would very much increase that and mental health and really needs a good thinking about, by many that know a lot more about dolls and how they can fix loneliness, and mental health troubles, not some Woman that has a brain of a small water biscuit.

It's my guess that it is more about stopping the manufacture of said dolls, to do that you need to have no market for them, no market the said dolls don't get made, don't think it's much about what is here right now, if it's really not legal you may have some worry, when something was deemed to be legal at one time, you can't just take it without full compensation.

I don't see a short Teddy Babe being deemed not legal, after all Love Honey sold them here in the UK for many years and all were happy to profit from it including the UK Gov: Lady-J

If true, then what probably comes next is groups of UK women under 148cm start campaigning and filing a discrimination law suit against UK gov ;)
And yes I also know men who have (adult) girlfriends under 148cm

I have a suspicion that the authorities keep the actual height / young looking law and precise attributes deliberately vague , so they can retain sufficient flexibility to take necessary action if they need to but avoid a significant backlash when there’s not really a problem.
Proving “young looking “ is very subjective and not a precise specific.
“Under 148cm” is something tangible that can be measured.
Typically of our government they want something they can use to their advantage when it suits them but don’t want it to be a problem when it doesn’t!

Well Bobby and i are thinking these are specially made dolls, nothing like us, and probably only available on the dark web.

No normal Doll maker would make dolls created for certain characters. But this Government do come out with ridiculous and crazy ideas!
