It could be the extreme heat, it may be wise to find out if oiling tpe dolls through this heat might save this kind of damage from happening? Retailers and manufacturers should know. Or maybe AI?

It looks to me like the TPE may be drying out a bit too much, and lacking oil. but what do I know, I am still trying to figure it all out myself.

I’m extremely lazy to oil dolls. Such a faff. Which is why I never do it 😮.

Blizzard is 5 years old, so she’s had a good innings. And Miss Storm (also cocoa) had TPE separation by her neck years ago, and I left it alone, and it hasn’t got any worse. Curious it’s by the neck for both Blizzard and Storm.

I’ll leave it and hopefully it’s just a one off. Won’t get any worse.

I remember PDutus (RIP) had a relatively new cocoa WM doll (would have been made around the same time as Storm and Blizzard) who was sitting on a chair, and one day her knees suffered terrible TPE separation (much worse than I’m seeing with my two 5 year old dolls.) I put these issues down to WM’s old cocoa mix.
