Counterfeit Dolls

Those that have done their homework will know about the fake web sites, the scams and the counterfeit dolls that have flooded the market. It's a minefield out there! Who can you trust, what can you do to protect yourself...?

First of all, we all know the saying, "you get what you pay for." If you see a WM doll for sale for £600 instead of £1500 brand new, then it's quite obvious something isn't right. It's almost guaranteed that you wont get a WM doll. In fact it may look very different, if a doll is delivered at all. This is what is known as a counterfeit doll, based loosely on a genuine face and body. They are usually made more to a budget, the TPE may be a different grade. The new doll may smell more, the joints may creak or fail more quickly, and may look like another person than what was advertise. They may and probably will be a different weight and height than advertised.

However, for you it may be perfect...

Not all people can afford the £1.5K asking price for a high end doll. We don't all want the same things from them either, example just want the doll for sexual activity and nothing else. Or the doll might look very different than doll on the website, but you love the new look more. Chances are you may love the new person in your life just the same as if you paid twice the price!

However on the flip side, chances are you are going to feel stung. You are going to dislike the new doll, the different face, the horrible strong smell, the extra weight and the rest of it. You'll be wanting to send it back. But after reading the small print realise that they wont except refunds if the box has been opened, or the doll has been removed and possible other totally unreasonable stipulations.

So how do you not get stung in the first pace.

Only use reputable dealers. You can find reputable dealers in your own country by doing a little research online.

You can't go wrong if you use the TDF approved vendor list (but best to pick a local vendor who knows your local import laws):
The Doll Forum - Doll Vendors
If you have an issue with one of those vendors, you can raise it with TDF management who will help you out.

Personally, I have bought dolls from all the vendors below, and I've always had good service:

Except for Lucid Toys, all of these are on the TDF vendor list.

My favourite vendor is Phil @ The Doll House UK. Phil is great because he's a doll guy himself. And if anything goes wrong he will always sort you out right. Also he's pretty much always there on chat to help you out. And Phil is a nice guy too. If you cannot see the doll you are interested in on Phil's website, chances are that Phil can still get it for you.

Cloud Climax are very good, but my 2 dolls from them were very slow to arrive. I think this is maybe due to them having their own shipment from China. I'm not sure if they have to wait for the shipment container to be full before they ship to the UK.

Silicone Lovers arguably have the nicest website. It's almost too nice it's addictive. I have bought a few dolls from them.

My Robot Doll are a Belgian doll vendor (I'm in the UK.) I used them for an Elsa Babe because at the time I didn't see any UK vendors doing Elsa Babe (I could have asked Phil.) And they were very good.

I've bought a few dolls from Lucid. I like Lucid and it also helps that they are less than an hour's drive from me, so I can collect dolls from their warehouse. They don't do bespoke dolls though (and I like the weird and wonderful) which is why I've only bought 3 dolls from them.

There are massive advantages to Lucid's having in-stock dolls and next day delivery (none of that angst you get waiting for your doll to arrive from China.) On another forum (not sure if this still happens as I haven't visited for ages) certain members do like to stick the boot into Lucid from time to time, and that is very unfair, especially when the people with the most venom towards Lucid often have never bought a product from Lucid in their life.

No hint of irony here. No, siree!
Hello Mr Karlos,

I'm not very good at irony, but if it is because I said "only bought 3", let me explain.

I put the "only" in there because there was a cheap wind up merchant (who got very upset when wound up himself) on the forum I won't mention, where if you so much as said a nice word about Lucid, all of a sudden you get thrown unfounded allegations of being a paid stooge of Lucid. In reality, the only paid stooge in that forum was that guy himself (paid to create photos for another vendor.)

I don't get why he had to cast unfounded allegations at people, it was very sad. When most of someone's dolls have come from the boutique vendors - TDH, SL, Cloud Climax, etcetera - it is incredibly stupid to call them a paid stooge of Lucid.

Kind regards,

Cuthbert

This is really good information - thanks. I’m a total noob and wondering if any of there (or other) vendors have a show room where you can see / touch the dolls?

I think this is great advice for new members and people making their first purchase.

Of course, there is another world and another perspective.

I guess you could say I'm "seasoned" as a dolly collector now and one of the things I enjoy doing is making those crazy random purchases from some unknown vendor in a back street in China Yes

So I've bought from Phil. I've bought from Silicone Lovers. I've bought four from Lucid.

...and I've bought two from eBay and two from a strange location somewhere away from the Jinsan factory in China from a lady called Anita who I actually think was a guy called Wim and doubled up as a Triad

...just another perspective 😁

I once bought a realistic sex doll torso with a head. Their customer service was really patient. They didn't try to sell me an expensive sex doll when I said it was my first time buying it. They also asked about my budget. I only spent a few hundred dollars to get a sex doll torso that I loved. Of course, we all care about brands. As far as I know, I know RIDMII and IRONTECH brands. Their doll skin does look more realistic, but I think if I only have a little budget, then I also admit that my doll will have flaws.

It is tricky when you're new and don't know what to look for. This is a side by side comparison of a doll picture from a scammer and a legitimate vendor. You can see some visual glitches from where they've photoshopped out the WM logo.

WM seem to be amongst the most widely stolen / mis-used images of dolls online. I probably don’t need to say this but paying by Paypal or Credit card gives some protection if something goes wrong or the doll is not as described / depicted. Also of course always worth asking about the seller on the doll forums prior to purchase - it’s likely that someone somewhere will be aware of them.

I agree because I too have wanted to purchase a sex doll torso because of budget constraints.

When I searched it out from Google, what came up was that there are several online retail doll sellers such as SexDollTech. have you guys heard of this site? Is this site reliable?

From what I know so far, their customer service is pretty prompt, I'm ready to place my order, someone stop me hahaha:ROFLMAO:

Hi, I have seen the site you mentioned but I have never bought from them but I don’t think it looks very promising. It claims to have a warehouse in USA but shows HQ in China (possible but not ideal for a UK purchase) The information on the dolls is sketchy at best with no brand or makers names showing, there is no contact phone number. Keep in mind if you buy from outside the UK you might get clobbered with imported duty. As an example I recently purchased a Tantaly Torso for around £500 and got a further bill for £120 in import duty - this is normal when importing larger / more expensive Doll purchases but some smaller value torsos seem to sometimes slip through…..
If you re looking for a budget Torso you can’t go far wrong with Lucid Toys. They have a reasonable selection at budget prices and you will get her in a couple of days. - I have bought around 10+ dolls from them over the last few years including several name brands like Zelex, YouQ, SM ,6YE ,Climax/CLM. JY. They have no or very little customisation options and are very much a “discount warehouse” type of business model, but you can’t ,t fault the value for money.

Don’t forget that Kimber Doll have a big discount on at the moment. The Kimber Deluxe is at £429 !!!

And it is legitimate. They’re moving warehouses and need to shift stock.
