My wife's favourite chocolate used to be Bounty. In 1998 I got a job with Mars electronics and I could buy a carrier bag of Mars confectionery for 50p, so I always looked for the one with the most Bounty's. 27 years later and she still never chose a Bounty and they were the last chocolate in the Celebrations tin.

A tip I have picked up from observation. I was watching a 24 hour news channel and thought "That anchor looks like a doll". Of course that made me wonder why. She was sitting straight to camera, facing the camera straight on. I then noticed in most cases the head may be turned or tilted and the eyes have moved to look into camera. If you look at my group shot (you can just click the link at the bottom of this post) you can see the difference it made between Sacu and Giselle and that's the same body! It's also noticeable on a few others when you spot the trick.

Head should always be v slightly tilted to one side and where the eyes are going to seem dead or unhappy make sure they are focused on the lens. Sad becomes suktry. It’s also important to line up botheyes to the lens and not to you, especially when you are up close. Have a tripod and check each one.

Hands are a pain, esp if the do not twist at the wrist but curling them helps. Look at your relaxed hand….the little finger is more curled than the others. That shape is easy to to and hides a multitude of stretched and twister horrors.

Feet should point.

For the rest try not to be symetrical. Have knees and elbows bent slightly differently.

A really helpful tip is to put the camera on timer and photograph yourself in the pose. You learn so much from this.

I tried to photograph myself in the pose but I just couldn't get in her knickers (story of my life!)

That's something that Joe Bin doesn't have to worry about with me because I don't wear any knickers.

You would get on very well with all of my girls then, Julia. They mostly don’t wear any clothes.
