I was down at our local recycling centre, throwing out an old laptop and printer that doesn’t work anymore, and the two guys who were on, I’ve chatted to and joked with before. I made out that I was talking about a friend of mine, but I’m sure they guessed it was me 😁. I asked them if they ever take sex dolls for recycling? In all fairness to them, they didn’t make any crude jokes or criticise or condemn anyone, and they quite matter-of-factly said that yes, they’ve had quite a few in the past. They said that the quietest time of day is usually between 9:30 am and 11 am and they recommend that if people want to dispose of one or more discretely, they come at that time. Then what they would do is use a JCB they have there to push it down into the recycling skips so that it’s not visible. Although if they arrive in boxes that’s helpful too.
They did say that they would prefer for people to tell them if they are bringing a sex doll because there have been other occasions there, when one has been dumped and it’s given somebody a shock when they’ve seen it in the skip.
They said it is also advisable to tell them if you are bringing a doll, because, believe it or not, actual human body parts have been found in their skips on occasion. Then they have to get the police involved, et cetera. If the police come and it turns out to be just a Doll then they’ve wasted their time even though they might have a laugh.
The guys said that they do not judge anyone, nor do they share anything that they encounter at the centre because they do meet some interesting people and come across some very strange things. They said that confidentiality is maintained at all times and that is part of their professional responsibility.
So if you are looking to dispose of a doll, then your local recycling centre should be able to take it in the normal household/domestic waste skips, and deal with it discretely, confidentially and professionally
