Disposing of a doll at your local Recycling Centre

I have a doll to dispose of, about a decade old made in extremely firm TPE, although rarely moved / never used, developed many random deep splits. I wonder is it viable to melt down for mold making, obviously outdoors upwind of fumes, wax up a cheap nasty plastic gnome and give it a few coats of molten sexdoll, then get cloning in cement.

I seriously doubt using TPE for mould making would be viable. For a start cement (and silicone) are exothermic in the curing stage so your mould is likely to melt. I guess in theory you could make silicone moulds to create TPE sculptures but you would run out of material pretty fast. Alcohol inks could be used to colour the molten TPE so I guess you could create a doll recycling centre and make dinosaurs or 1/16 size dolls. For detail you could use mica powders. Original forms could be made out of wax to create the mould. But you would have to be a far better sculptor than me as I discovered flaws in my sculpting abilities when I attempted similar many years ago using lead, not TPE.

I wonder if there'd be a demand here. Direct currency conversion puts the basic service at £140, standard at £230 and deluxe at £420, but obviously that'd need reworking for the actual costs of hiring a suitable venue and final journey, but would people here want something like that?

We at mr tracks are plushies and we live forever , but one day it will come , we are loved and liked by mr track but the next of kin don’t feel like they appreciate, and two of them seem allergic to plush material - or so they say ,, so it’s the dump for us , they won’t show themselves up taking us to the charity shop 😁

Couldn’t Mr.Tracks send you to a new home in his will? Another member of the doll community, for example?

Well thing is most on the forum are as near as old as mr track , so it’s a question of who pops their clogs first , we would love to go to mr Bobbys but is a delivery / collection thing as there are six of us , needing a couple of box’s and. a big car boot . ,,,, Carly xxx

That's good work, probably the most difficult subject you could pick. I've some large digger badges needing awkward repair, pressed steel with bits nibbled away by rust, It occurs that I only need to repair one then could copy in resin. When I find time I'll have a play with melting this TPE and see how it goes.

Had to dismantle my worn out Realdolls (remember them ?) as they fell apart.
Removed all the silicone from the skeleton and took it all to the dump with no problems at all
In many years to come archologists digging up dumps will find some odd things !
