Hi everyone!

My name is Hanna
.
My day job is modeling clothes.

A long time ago, before digital and phone cameras, my sweety, Pex, worked his way through college by doing portfolio pictures and head shots for aspiring models and modeling students.

Although he now uses digital and phone cameras, he is still old school. He won't use Photoshop, FaceApp, AI, etc. He says it is because he wants me to always be authentic.

From that past experience, he maintains a fashions sense (or so he thinks).

So his secondary hobby is treasure hunting for outfits, shoes, and accessories for me in thrift stores. Because they have to be new or like new and in my size (XS or sometimes S). This can be quite a challenge but it keeps him occupied and out of trouble.

I like Pex’s ideas about photographic authenticity. I must admit, all my photos are with iPhone at the moment and I use photo editing to improve lighting and to do some filtering.
But now that I’ve really gotten into photographing my ladies, I want to get a proper digital camera and studio lighting and stop using filters. Of course, I still love black & white photographs though.

I do have a subtle natural smile if you look close enough. In doll charm school, they taught us that men love a sultry look on women so that is what I always strive for. They also taught us that if you have too big of a smile, it makes us look too easy. We are supposed look hard to get. Men love the hunt. You don't want to take that fun away from them.

Even though Pex has a nice digital camera, he has been taking all of my picture on an Android phone. So some pictures turn out really good and most just average. But since he doesn't have to buy film anymore, it doesn't cost anything to take lots and lots of pictures and just look for the best ones and delete the rest.

Your phone pictures are pretty excellent as-is. Keep up the good work (fun)!

Ah, another that likes lots of clothes!

Of course. Dolls love clothes. How else could we look our best for our companions? And don't forget that dolls love jewelry too.

It really stormed last night. Lightning, thunder, wind, and buckets of rain. Today is supposed to be very hot with 90% humidity.

But I am ready.

Knock on wood. I have been extremely lucky.

I only got stained once and that was from a new unworn blue designer dress, hand tailored, from Paris, France (according to the still attached card tag).

Fortunately, the stain was just a small rectangle (10x25mm) on my back from leaning against the corner of the piano. Pex did panic because even though the stain was relatively small, it was very dark.

He Googled the problem and the remedy was Benzoyl Peroxide (Acne Cream). It took a few applications, each time getting much lighter. No traces left.

That was January. No stains since then and I love very colorful clothes.

Pex has his tube of Benzoyl Peroxide always ready. I figure after the first application, it works the same way that if you buy a new snow blower or skis, it almost surely guarantees a snow free winter.

Oh, I should mention that I hate that shiny red hair wig. (I never wore it again) But, Pex insisted that it was necessary to recreate this fashion shot.

I told him that if he wanted to be true to that fashion shot, then he needs to take me down to a Chicago subway station. Well, he didn't have the guts to do that and instead had me pose in front of a piano. He said he didn't want to plagiarize the picture. Yeah right. Like I am supposed to believe that.

Luckily i have Mr Karlos keeping an eye on Mr Tex after some previous unfortunate incidents :whistle:

I am only really afraid of encountering hateful narrow minded people and what THEY might do to me.

Pex has been riding the Chicago subway all his life and during all those years has never actually witnessed a crime. He is mostly concerned about how people would react to taking me for a ride on the subway and take a few pictures while at it. I suppose he could Photoshop me into some subway photos that he as taken but he refuses to that.

He could easily get a permit from the city for doing a commercial fashion shoot using mannequins and the station security would probably even help out by keeping bystanders back and no one would give a second thought about what is going on. It is truly a strange world that we live in.

But Chicago's transit system, including the subways, and the majority of the city has always been very safe.

I suppose so. But that's me and I don't fault anyone for creating composites.

It is not so much about Hanna, it's about my past. I have amazing genuine photos of things I have done that young people today just won't believe are in-camera real. I would love to post some here but for reasons of privacy, I don't want anyone to be able to connect my regular life with my doll life and unfortunately Google will do that.

I have photos of me and my wife on a mountain top in the Canadian Rockies sitting in the midst of long horn sheep (which I was told later was a foolish thing to do as well a being extremely dangerous. But when young, we feel immortal. I have rock climbed the Grand Canyon (in my early 20's), climbed to the tup of Mount Hood in Oregon, the year after it blew it's top and have pictures of 50 foot pine trees as far as the eye can see that look like toothpicks sticking out of black ash. (what it probably would look like after a nuclear explosion). That's just a small sampling.

So it is kind of in my DNA and I am too old and too stubborn to change.

I am so happy.[USER=112] Lady-J[/USER] invited me on a first class doll excursion! I am so excited.

Some mean man tried to scare me into not going by saying that we would fly into a volcano. That really scared me because I didn't want to melt. I saw that scene where Arnold melted in the first Terminator movie. I cried my eyes out during that scene. So I went out and borrowed a firefighter outfit to wear over my dress. I don't think it would have helped me in the volcano so I am so relieved that it is not true. (That's probably why I don't smile that much. I am always getting stressed out)

Boy is it hot in that coat. I can't imagine sitting in that coat on a long flight.

So I am taking off the coat and looking for something much more comfortable to wear on the trip.
