Some Advice

We’ve had this discussion a lot. In theory, the UK legal limit is 147cm. But we can’t find the specific legal wording on this as the law states about the nature of the dolls’ features and looks.

My doll, Dani Cordero, is 148cm but definitely looks a young woman and not someone a lot younger.

I'm going to jump on this as I'm having the exact same conversation with a client and possible production job.

I'm new to all of this, and trying to brush up on the law and regulations if I'm ever to make more of these. We need a smaller more manageable doll with smaller boobs, for the armour and some other specifics to test and ease of use basically. It would be substantially easier, quicker and more cost effective to buy one than make one.

As far as I'm aware it is not illegal to own what someone might deem a child like doll ( and that in itself is debatable, if you read the legislation there is no effective measure and who ultimately would decide ) the offence comes from importing one, and then is it obscene and likely to corrupt.

Assume one was confiscated for the above. Now If I made the same doll myself, or purchased it via a UK seller you've broken no law even if it were to be obviously child like, except your moral ones.

There seems to be quite a lot defenses though. What one person seems child like another will not.

It's very difficult and touchy issue obviously.

That is where I'm at, I've even found a few weeks could purchase but haven't the slightest whether we dare.

Please don't take any of this as legal advice, I'm simply giving my thoughts on what I believe the law to be, I could be entirely wrong.

If your having a custom doll made you could have the holes perminently sealed, thus making the doll a class of maniquin rather than a sex doll. In theory this could be imported legally.

If you want to be absolutely sure you are safe, I guess you could get a doll that looks something like your grandma. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

This has been covered extensively on UKLDF and slightly less so on TDF. It,s constant frustration that there are no proper clearly documented rules or regulations . The absolute safest option is to buy from a UK vendor (one of the four proprietary ones) being Siliconelovers, Cloud Climax The Doll House and Lucid. The vendor is the importer and the buyer is simply buying the doll from a UK supplier. Of course the vendor has most likely imported the doll from Asia but any reputable vendor will ensure the doll complies with the UK requirements. Incendentally there seem to be plenty of suppliers and even manufacturers who advertise they will ship “any doll” anywhere direct to the customer, these are probably best avoided if there is the slightest chance they might be a legal issue as assuming the supplier is outside the UK legally the buyer becomes the importer and is thus liable. Sadly many websites even use “.co.uk” addresses to give the impression they are located in the UK.

With any drop-shipping from China (or anywhere outside the UK) even if you use a UK vendor, you are the importer and legally responsible for making sure what you import is legal.

The only time the UK vendor is legally responsible is when the doll is going to their UK warehouse first, before being shipped on to your abode in the UK.

The UK vendors will (should) never sell you anything that’s not UK legal. With drop-shippers from other countries it can be a lottery. General rule, if your doll is 155cm or higher, you’ll be fine.

I’ve used the Belgian MyRobotDoll a few times in the past. Also the Texan RealLoveSexDolls. And Rosemary Doll (somewhere in the US). And the Chinese manufacturers themselves (SM Doll, Dolls Castle, Normon Doll) and never really had much problem with drop shipping other than painful waits. My Silicone Lovers dolls were all drop-shipped to my house.

I had a doll get seized once, but it was onroute to a UK Vendor who quit the business after it happened. The police turned up at their premises, took their computer equipment for examination. If you ever do anything risky, make sure your computer equipment is squeaky clean.

Had another doll seized at Heathrow, but that seemed to be because there was an unacceptable (to the UK authorities) doll on the plane, and my doll was caught up in the cross fire (all dolls on the plane / in the shipment were seized.)

Yes, sorry you are quite right - I should have made it clearer, For the buyer to not be the “importer” the doll has to be bought from UK stock (not drop shipped) Interesting that you mention SM they state they have “channels” to safely import a mature looking BBW doll into the UK even though she is under 148cm, I have just queried how this can be correct on a TDF post but had no response……

Hi, There is absolutely heaps of info on the forums about this as well as on most of the better vendor websites, just Google it- Basically TPE is softer and cheaper but porous so less easy to clean thoroughly and almost impossible to completely sterilise 100% , it also tends to release oil and stain clothing / bedding etc, some blends can have an unpleasant smell. Silicone holds detail like make up etc better and for longer. The new STPE has very positive feedback but it hasn’t really been around for long enough to tell for sure about the durability. Silicone seems to lend itself better to the latest weight reduction construction, or at least east most of the newer lighter “weight reduced” dolls are silicone like the Starpery WR4. Some of the older model silicone dolls traditionally were popular for photography and display but not good for the fun stuff as they lack flexibility, the later silicone blends are much improved and almost have the same benefits as TPE without the drawbacks.
I think a lot of the decision comes down to what you would like the doll for and what your budget is. Oh and not forgetting how heavy a doll you want to handle..

As long as it is not in El Salvador, I hear it is very popular in the States :unsure:
