Yes I remember that movie. Soundtrack by Queen. They are looking to remake the movie, but it doesn't look great and no Brian Blessed as leader of the Hawkmen, or I think that's what they were called😁

Yes I liked Princess Aura, very sexy accent!😁
Hello Bobby,

I paid £4.99 to buy it on YouTube so I can watch it (and Princess Aura) as many times as I like 😍.

I never have high hopes for remakes these days, when they remake things for "modern audiences".

Kind regards,

Cuthbert

My BFF bought it on DVD when it first came out ages ago. One of those movies that you pull of the shelf and watch and enjoy every so often. And couldn't imagine it without the Queen soundtrack.

And absolutely nobody has made a decent version of H G Wells’ War of the Worlds, yet - despite many attempts!

I agree, the soundtrack was outstanding.

Only one other movie had a Queen soundtrack, Highlander (1986) and that was a superb movie too:

Yeah I agree. They should of made them to fit the original story or the stage show if they were going to make them at all. Set in the time of HG Wells not in our present world.

The Tom cruise version was crap! And so are a couple of other versions. I think they are working on a War of the worlds movie now, but it looks rubbish and is all about ai

Funny you say that. I've got it in my mind that my next doll must look like Princess Aura 😆.

Have you seen the latest movie Jed? Is it better than the first? To be honest the only bit of the first movie I liked was when M3GAN chased the boy in the woods like an animal🤣🤣

I remember watching it (1953 War of the Worlds) when I was very young and it really scared me 😆. I might even have had the video cassette.

But yes, these days it doesn't look great.

Maybe AI could make a good version?

Must admit, I've never read the book. If we fed the book into an AI and said, "right, make a brilliant movie version", wonder what we'd get. The good thing with AI is if it's sh!t we just say "that was sh!t, make it again" and it won't complain, and will merrily churn out another version. And with fine tuning we might get a masterpiece. 🍻

I think that they should go back to the original time it was set - 1890’s-1900.

I keep meaning to watch this movie again - "The Crying Game" (1992)

It's about a tranny 😆 (sort of) (but don't let that put you off, it's a good movie)

I put the M3GAN movie into the "so bad - it's good category like some of those 70's B horror movies.

What I think I would love to see is Aardman take a crack at full length claymation MeGAN movie. Maybe M3GAN can come to Wallace's house to take care of Gromit.

Love this animation. Very funny ending.

I loved M3GAN. But I couldn’t understand why it was described as a horror movie. I thought it was hilarious, a really good dark comedy. I definitely want a M3GAN doll - one of the taller ones rather than a small girl.

Did my 1st NI tour late 91 thru 92, and returned back to Germany (BAOR) few of us been loaded went up to Hamburg for weekend about the 3bar we went in was a tranny strip bar which prior to entering and buying our beers we didn't know, so sat there just off the stage area watching the 1st girl undress not having a clue during 1st song but about 30seconds into the 2nd song holy shite we all sat there for about 10seconds looked at each other drank up fast and left.. following weekend I rented the Crying Game been it was NI based had no idea about the tranny bit, as that camera panned down we had that exact same look of shock.

Yes that was a great movie Cuthbert. Good storyline and quite a mellow soundtrack sung by Boy George with backing vocals from Neil Tennant. I was never a fan of Culture Club, but for some reason I liked that song.

A guy called Jaye Davidson played the tranny and Stephen Rea and Miranda Richardson and a young Forest Whittiker stared alongside.

Had a similar experience in a bar in Amsterdam with some Thai Ladyboys. Didnt realise it was a Ladyboy bar and just wanted a beer😯

I was naive back then and didnt realise what the blue light stood for ( Transexuals ) in Amsterdam. But I did chat to some of them and still had my beer. No I didnt hire one🤣🤣🤣

Well have I found the perfect M3GAN doll for you. I know Meca has a life sized M3GAN but this one I think you can take to bed with you and cuddle.

Sounds like she is a hybrid like Holly. But you better hurry, there is only one left.
