Morning, yes I've just finished giving Bobby some love and hes puffing on his vape. Its Crema Santa flavour by a company called Bombo in Spain. It kind of smells of like a coconut cake😁

Well not too long before his trip away and I have decided not to bother with my own blog for a week while hes away, I shall pass the reigns over to Coco, and just post on her Thread, well it won't be the same without my Bobby, but he could do with a break and Cocos with him to take care of him. I'm also sure Jeds girls will make him feel welcome, but I'll still miss him😍

Anyway another fun afternoon at work for me, but I do have the afternoon of tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to that

Anyway I'm off to do my duty, coffee duty😁 👋 for now

The only hassle is he has to go up to London and on the underground, which is a pain. He has to go to Paddington Station, yes that's where Paddington Bear originated from. Paddington is where all the train go for the west country like Plymouth, Bristol, penzance and Wales

Evening all,

We've just started watching Black Sails again about pirates, it's quite interesting and has Captain Flint in it and Long John Silver, but its more for an adult audience.

I think Bobby's ideal job would be to open up a DVD rental shop, but unfortunately everything is streamed these days, so he wouldnt be that successful

Well we've had our fish finger and brioche rolls earlier and crisps and then a dairy milk ice cream each, they were on offer and now just enjoying a Ben Shaws shandy, well Bobby and Coco are, I'm drinking a mango rubicon fizzy drink that Bobby got in his meal deal today. It's quite nice and refreshing and I like exotic fruit😁

Also some bad news for Bobby's Sister, apparently the vet says she has behaviour problems her cat Tabitha that is and wants attention all the time. Apparantly she wakes Bobby's Sister up at 4am some mornings!

Well we are all just chilling out and I'm cuddling up to my beloved😉 after a busy afternoon, well at least I'm off tomorrow😁

Well fish is good for you! Sometimes we have chicken, but Bobby and Coco like the spicy chicken and it's on offer at the moment too, so we have boxes of it in the freezer, its reduced from £4.10 to £2.50!

Sometimes we have a bit of salad with our quiches I bring back when Bobby's not around, but hes not into quiche. The ice cream is our dessert 😁

30 & 31st July

Oops forgot to post yesterday😯 naughty me😁 well Bobby was out most the morning at his Sisters. I was just chilling out yesterday as it was my afternoon off.

Today its pouring down in Sussex and I'm just watching The Bill with Coco, yes shes awake, but still in bed. This afternoon Bobby is going to get a few bits for Cocos cleaning day. He's going to get some Woolite or similar, as ours is well out of date and some kind of flannels a spray bottle and a brush and just make his own concoction with a tiny bit of Woolite and water in the spray bottle and just give her a spray over at the weekend.

Think it's called a bed bath Thea, Dulcima gave one to Mr Bob Parker a time ago, o_O Lady-J

Oh dear, poor Dulcima. I can imagine how she felt doing that 🤢🤮🤣

Oh okay, did she bleach his underpants to, he seems to trump a lot, no not Donald Trump🤣🤣

Poor Bobby, another let down. He applied to work in Savers in his home town, around 15 minutes walk away. He left his contact details in the shop and then applied online, so they would have his CV.

Then hes been in the shop twice, the Assistant Manageress wasn't in so he went back the next day, as requested, early, but she was busy.

He even set up a LinkedIn account, so he could try and connect with the Manager and has tried to contact head office twice about his application and this was for a part time job, he even told them he could be as flexible as they needed.

Yes he got the news earlier this afternoon. He's well fed up, and feels like he should just give up at the moment. At least they could of given him an interview.

I mean he says the stock is all over the floor when they open In the morning, every morning, all he wanted to do was help them and put the stock out on the shelves. It's not a like a brain surgery job is it! He would probably have better luck applying for that!

I mean he does everything he is supposed to do and more to try and get a job, and he's not like some of the lazy ones out there that do nothing and try and claim everything. He was never even sacked from his last job, he was made redundant!

Hes really beginning to think his age is against him, but I told him it's their loss at Savers and not to give up ( like the Kate Bush song ) well in my thinking they are not worthy of Bobby working for them. He should be an adviser at Selfridges of Harrods in London, in a nice suit with a travel allowance.

Well that's all I have to say and Coco has been giving him a big hug! Shes mad and has threatened to go in and cause chaos in the store, but I said it wasn't such a good plan😯

Its just a matter of time, keep trying. They'll all come together lol

Well to be honest hes tried every big retail company in his home town, Tesco, Lidl, Sainburys, for night work. When his previous company went Bust. Savers actually stated they would guarantee an interview to anyone that had worked there if they had a vacancy, so they are full of bull too!

They had his CV so they knew he worked there. It's been nearly 2 years hes been looking. He even thought about being a Postman, but all the jobs include driving now.

Well Good Morning and July has finished and we are now into August, soon be Christmas again🤣🤣

Well companies will soon be looking for Temp workers, problem is that most of them get rid of them just before Christmas and then Bobby has to have a good excuse to give to the Job centre why the job finished and start his claim all over again! Yes he has colleagues at both Tesco and Sainsburys, so he knows what goes on.

Anyway back to work for me today. I just hope it doesn't rain like yesterday.

Has Bobby tried grocery stores? I don't know how it is in the UK, but here the turnover rate is so high, they'll just about hire anyone. Very hard to find work here if you don't have your own transportation though.

Well I don't mind and as from next Wednesday i wont have to do it for a week 😁

Well Sainburys and Tesco are classed as Grocery stores Mr. Franz in the UK
All the independent grocers have long gone from where we live. The Business rates are too high for the independent shops.

Also its partly down to the local Council what shops move into town and if they don't want them, they will make it very difficult for them to move in. The Council think that our town is too posh to have ordinary shops, but it's only because we are on a Commuter belt to London.

Our transport links are pretty good, but tickets are expensive on the train and although the buses are cheaper at the moment the fares will be going up. The problem is retail workers don't earn a great deal and companies only want part time workers, that way they dont have to take full time workers on and then when a part time worker is off sick they expect another part time worker to cover, so Bobby doesn't want to go to far afield


He has applied for jobs in the next town, but they want local people, because of what I've just mentioned.

Could he get anything in a petrol station, most do have big Grocery shops as well, and Bobby would be good enough to run the full thing for them, Lady-J(y)

Hes tried, but also a lot of them are in the middle of nowhere and there aren't any bus stops near Lady-J and Bobby can't drive.

Maybe it's time to take up driving? Get a scooter maybe... E-bike... something to get around on?

Here a great idea Bobby apply for a job at the job centre as a interviewer, you can tell them you've done a two year apprenticeship, see what they say about that o_OLady-J

Oh he's tried that. Just before Christmas last year there was a Job Centre course to become a Job coach, run by the national Careers service, so he applied to go on the course, but because he was going to Fedcap he wasn't allowed to go on it! How crazy is that! Double funding they said. After the course he probably would of got a guaranteed interview and if he had passed he would of been a Job Coach. He thinks he would of been good at that and a bit more understanding with those that are out of work.


He even spoke to Fedcap about it and they tried to get him on a similar course, but it didnt start till January and that's when they wanted the new Job Coaches at the Job centres to start. So even when you make the effort to get a career the Job centre are inflexible, well the DWP actually. He even asked about an apprenticeship with them after doing an Apprenticeship workshop with them, but the answer was no, we dont take on Apprenticeships☹
