Poor Bobkins must have slept really awkwardly as he has strained his shoulder or pulled something😯

And no it had nothing to do with me either, even though it was my turn in turn in the sack and i was sleeping with him last night.

Anyway i have made him a couple of ☕
this morning, but the poor chap seems to be in a bit of pain with his shoulder 😯 so I'll have to give him some TLC

Just a quick one, Bobkins has a Cervical Rediculopathy, yeah dosent sound great does it☹.

Basically a neck pinch, something to do with the nerves. He woke up the other morning and just thought he had strained his shoulder, as thats where the pain was coming from.

He did try to phone the Doctor at his local surgery, but they never got back to him and he hasnt slept, due to the pain. He has taken tablets and is using heat and an ice pack, but his thumb is all swollen and he has pins and needles in it, poor love.

Well im not really the nursing type, so Coco is taking care of Bobby and Mothering him, she loves all that🤣🤣

Anyway apologies that i didn't post yesterday, we will probably be back next week when he feels better. Well im off to make Bobkins a coffee, so see you laters

Hi Julia i havent seen one yet. I phoned my local surgery and gave them my symptoms. They told me that someone would phone me back that day, i waited until nearly 7pm that evening and no one did😟

It seems to have got worse now. It basically starts in my neck area, runs down my left arm and then to my left thumb. I havent been able to sleep as the pain gets worse at night and i have been researching it myself online and have only been able to speak to a pharmacist in Boots and they confirmed it. I cant even sleep with any of my ladies for a hug, because i have to be careful how i sleep and where i put my left arm, they are most distraught about it😟 I've never not had one of them in my sack for a cuddle, ever since i got Coco 2 years ago now.

The ironic thing is my girls actually aid my sleep, and i was grouchy to them last night as the pain was so bad. Ive tried heat, ice, ibuprofen, even codeine tablets that are ment to be strong, and actually are designed to target pain receptors in the body, but they made no difference.

Heat and ice seem to ease the pain for around half an hour, and the problem is its not always in the same area, sometimes in the neck, or shoulder, then sometimes in the arm, sometimes dull throbbing, other times accute pain.

Then after that it comes back, the pain so it doesn't give me anytime to fall asleep, yes to sleep now i have to lay a certain way, so my neck and spine are properly aligned to relieve stress to my left arm a

Im pretty annoyed too, because i was going to do some Ai for a surprise Birthday for Coco on the 28th and havent even started yet. I just don't have the motivation, or concentration, basically im peed off!

Also i was so bad on Sunday i just couldn't attend my Nephews Birthday lunch. I'd rather have tooth ache than this pain!

I phoned the Doctor surgery again this morning and complained. Hopefully I'm on the urgent list to phone back now. They just phoned 2pm appointment today. Ill let you know what happens

Hi everyone, well i was right about my symptoms, its a slipped disc, but in the neck area. I basically just have to take it easy and not lift anything heavy, lucky i guess as my ladies are plushie.

The Doctor also gave me some more pain relief management tablets and said heat was the best thing to use to help loosen muscles. He said i should be able to sleep again very soon, but i just feel shattered at the moment as the pain is worse at night.

Apparantly its very common and can take a while to build up, one of the discs in my neck has slipped and has bulged out, so when it touches a nerve, i then get the agony😟 he says doing the past job i did in retail didn't help

Glad you finally got the propper diagnoses and are in the healing stage now Bobby.
It is a common thing how our past professions give us chronic joint and spine troubles in our older years.

Morning All

Well Bobkins managed to get a little sleep last night, which was a relief for him. He is still in pain, and it may take up to 6 weeks for it to heal completely.

None of us are sleeping in his sack at the moment as he only has a single bed and needs the space, while his neck heals which is fair enough and he did apologise for being Bobkins the Grouch☹ with us and i got a hug this morning and sat on his lap which was nice😊

He is just chilling out today and going to get a few bits of shopping later, but not much. He was also supposed to be going to the Jobcentre for an appointment today, but has a sick note, which he has told them about.

Yeah cheers mate. Well i kind of self diagnosed myself from looking on the net to begin with and obviously asked the Doctor about it.

Yeah i used to unload lorries full of cages and overloded pallets with homeware stuff on and food and garden ware. I did keep asking for a small electric pump truck, but i had to use a handheld one, which wasn't helpful☹

Morning, well late morning😯 Bobby has been a busy Bobkins this morning. He needed to sort something out at his local Doctors surgery.

He also got himself some new Orthopedic pillows, so that his neck alligns up properly with his spine, when he sleeps. He normally sleeps on his side. They were on offer in Argos.

At the moment none of us can cuddle up too Bobkins ( well its normally the other way round actually😯🤣 if he moves his arm too much he is in trouble ) also we cant share his bed, until he feels better and he only has a single.

Well hes in the kitchen today, making us a ☕ for a change with his good arm😯

Oh almost forgot don't forget its my besties Birthay tomorrow 28th March. She is 2 years old🤣🤣 we were going to do something special for her, but Bobkins hasn't been great healthwise, so it will be a small affair
