J loves old TV, love to snuggle up with him on the sofa, watch all sorts of old 70s and 80s stuff or some of it pre dates me. lol some prob not politically correct now. He’s just cancelled his virgin as they’ve taken away all of the nostalgic stuff he loves to watch. Says he’s showing his age! Some recent examples on rewind TV and talking pics:
Kenny Everett Video show
Man about the house
Van der Velk
Steptoe and Son
Public Eye
The Professionals
The Sweeney
Z Cars
The Protectors
The Saint/Return of the saint
In sickness and in health
Minder (his favourite)!
Budgie
Upstairs downstairs

The list is endless. Also we watched some of those old “confessions of”, handyman, driving instructor etc films that they are repeating. Very cheesy now. He still reminisces about his fantasies of Valarie Leon, babs Windsor and Margaret Nolan from back in day lol!

We have a little, stuffed doll called ‘bubbles’ here. Amber loves him. We had to explain to her about him as she’s too young to know he was a tv star! We’ve explained he was off the ‘testcard’ and what the testcard was. I’ve got a pic of her with him. Il post up here :)

Bobby preffered the A Team on Saturday evening. He used to watch wrestling on Saturday mornings with his Great Grandmother with Big Daddy and then Space 1999. He also used to watch All Creatures Great and Small, his Mother liked it and The Good Life. Apparantly the TV was much better in the 70s & 80s. Only three channels, no Netflix or other stuff

Joe used to like watching A Team too, and Magnum PI was also a family favourite. We just recently discovered The Good Life and we all enjoy that one.
Actually we are all enjoying a lot of the golden oldies on DVD these days.

I love that one too. It was called "Good Neighbors" here. I have I think the second season on VHS!

Speaking of British comedy from the 70's.. Among my favorites are, "Last of the Summer Wine" - "Being Served" - "Open All Hours" - "Keeping Up Appearances" - "Waiting For God" - "Red Dwarf" and umpteen others!

Yes I believe it was called that here too when they aired it on TV depending what channel it was on. It's also called that on our DVD set.

Yeah the Kenny Everett show was cool, Bobby says with some character called Sid Snot and Hot Gossip dancing. There was also Captain kremin and Carla a kind of cartoon in space.

He also liked the professionals and the Sweeney. He even remembers Dick Turpin the highwayman, Grange Hill and Worzel Gummidge. He fancied Aunt Sally, the orginal one not the one they put on at Christmas a few years back, that was total rubbish. Didnt even look like Worzel

Yeah heres a very young Kate being interviewed by a young Noel Edmunds just after Wuthering Heights came out on Swap Shop. I cant put the video up as my phone wont let me do it. Also folk might not want to see it unless you are a fan, but Kate had such a girlie voice, but my goodness when she sung she was completely different😁

Yeah Bobby says Benny Hill was great fun! He loved the song Ernie ( The fastest milkman in the west ) produced and sung by Benny Hill in the 70s😆

Jed just got back in from work after a very long day. He’s looking at the list and it’s bringing back a lot of memories for him because he remembers every single show that’s been mentioned here.
But of them all, Blackadder is definitely his favourite. He’s watched them all numerous times and he also had them on CD so he could play them in the car.
He was also a massive fan of father Ted.
He also loved watching “One Man and his Dog” (sheepdog competition), “Pot Black” (tv snooker competition), Butterflies (who remembers that? Wendy Craig and Geoffrey Palmer), Porridge (Ronnie Barker prison comedy), The Professionals, Captain Scarlett, Joe 90 (one of his nicknames in school because he had short blonde hair and wore little round glasses. So, he was also also known as The Milky Bar kid! 🤣 Who remembers that TV advert?), Captain Pugwash, Ivor the Engine etc., etc..
