Going to post more Dollfies. I have more of them than any other brand. They are not very popular here in the UK but huge in Japan. All mine have come from Japan, 99% of them 2nd hand. Its weird because most of them have never been opened. People in Japan seem to like buying them and then storing them in a dark cupboard for a few years. A lot of mine are licensed characters (that I've never heard of) which means they usually come with an outfit and accessories, like Youmu earlier. I think some of these outfits are awesome.

I guess I understand the sentiment, but that just means they'll likely never be opened and displayed by anyone, which kinda makes the whole point of a doll moot. 🙃

Thank you Sir. The thing is, many of the older ones don't sell on for much more than the list price. They are maybe making 10%-20% on something they've had in the cupboard for 10 or more years. It does depend on the character as some like rem/ram, sailor moon series and Hatsune Miku command obscene prices.

I am of the mindset that its pointless keeping them boxed up. They should be out on display in all their beauty. I like to buy them and set them free lol
Thank you Bobby. They can be expensive, it depends on the character. New they are around ¥53000 - ¥80000 which is about £280 - £400ish but there is 20% VAT to pay for importing them and obviously shipping. The most I have spent on one is erm close to a grand all in, cheapest was a 2005 model Dollfie that cost £175.

Yes, I had to go count them :ROFLMAO: I can never remember how many I have. I check 2nd hand sites in Japan a couple of times a day because I have a FOMO complexion so the number is forever going up.

It is Hatsune Miku. She is the newest NT version. She is limited edition and to get her I had to enter a raffle. I won in the raffle, she cost me a grand total of £428.12 including shipping and taxes. Un-opened ones are currently going for around 3 times that price without shipping from Japan and VAT. I'll quit waffling now and introduce another one.

Mashiro, a Dollfie from another anime I've not watched called 'Tayutama Kiss on my Deity'

Technically she is a Tayutama which is a God manifesting in her humanish form. People keep making references to a fox but I'm convinced she actually based on a squirrel. I've been trying to get her to join the Tufty club but I think that closed down a long time ago. I love Mashiro so when another one came up for sale 2 weeks ago, I bought her too. I don't have any pics of her yet but she wears the alternative outfit which consists of a Yukata type dress and her hair, ears and tail are a pale blue/silver colour.

This is Mirai, another Smart Doll. She was the first character ever produced. Today marks the anniversary of her inception.

Thank you. She is the classic version. I found her on ebay. Her previous owner upgraded her chest parts. Each time she breathes in I can hear the T Shirt screaming.

Thanks Jed. Some one said that if I sold her, I'd probably get more for the wig than I would a bald Mirai. Mirai has always been in stock but I think its the earlier ones that only got that hair style.

I remember having a Tufty annual but don't think I was ever a member. It might be in the attic somewhere.
