Can Members begin to use the new forum now.

My to do list is down to just 5 things to do LOL! Yeahhh!
Unless another bug pops up!

1. I have been sent a private message on the new forum, but I cannot open it.

2. Lorna Fairchild missing from my doll account list under my profile

3. Latest posts don’t have the Setsuna story thread - in fact, I cannot find it there anyway

Do you think it’s a little early to actually start using the new forum? There seem to be a lot of issues to deal with first.

Yes for one thing I sent out a private DM to all coming to the open day, all of you were set in that PM, it worked, but was a real pain, the site is so slow to do anything:(.

There are 17 pages of posts.
Put up just one post, to see if it would work, may be the Open Day will have come and gone by the time it takes me to get it all there :(

It maybe the DM you are trying to open Jed?

There is a lot to be said for a ready made site, this site is so fast, really think, the change over should be held over, till bugs our fixed, the speed is to slow to run kemble shows or content.

Again was going to do part two of the Setsuna story thread, but like Jed did not find it there at all, so the second part has not been done, have copy of the first video if anyone should want it.

Maybe a idea not to close this site for now, and a number of us use the new site, and report bugs we find, this site runs so well and so fast, that's my take on the matter.

If no one can open pm's it a big no from me till that is fixed, and a lot of the other bugs, when this site is gone there is no turning back, and what's the hurry to close it so soon, I've not posted my feeling, till had a good chance to try out the new site, and have posted no new content to make it easy for Mr Story in moving things from this site to the other. I cant see any messages and just half a black type of picture. It looks a bit odd to be honest

I haven't tried the PM feature as yet, but not having any issues with speed overall compared to this site. I must say though, I like the feel of our present site much better.

That is the first post of the open day, it's like a photo of that post, I can see it myself, there is little point in me adding more, if no one can see photos, I mean to say, the site is like a snail crawling along the ground, it really needs a stop and re-think, or all this great work on this site will be lost, and the site members, Lady-J:(

I’ll be honest here. On the new forum, I do like the fact that we don’t have to log out and log back in, in order to change Doll accounts. But apart from that, I find it very frustrating.
On an iPhone you have to scroll much more to see posts.
If you reply to a post and include the link then you cannot click on the link to go back to see the original post.
Recent posts that I have made on some of my doll threads, have not appeared.
One of my doll accounts is not in my account settings.
All photos posted by a Doll go into the gallery and there is no way of removing some of them - I have images in my girls galleries that I want to remove because they are not the doll themselves, but something she may have done for another Doll.
The private messaging system is not working at all.
When I login there is nothing to show how many likes or responses I have had to a posts, so I actually have to go to that post or remember how many posts I’ve made and which ones to go to, to find out if anybody has liked it or responded to it.
Manyof the latest threads and posts are not there. I thought there was supposed to be a way of seeing how many views a post has received, even though there are no responses or likes, but that doesn’t seem to be there. That was one of the advantages I thought the new forum would have because I am so tired and fed up of the fact that it’s just a small few of us doing all the work of posting here; I wanted to see how many people are actually visiting a thread or post that I or one of my dolls makes.
I think it is far too soon for us to change over completely to the new forum, there are too many issues to deal with first.
And it’s Valentine’s Day on Saturday, but where’s the Valentines forum on the new forum?

Sorry, I know a lot of work has gone into making the new forum, but I’m afraid to say that the layout of this old one is much more user-friendly.
The way I feel at the moment, when we move completely to the new forum, I and my girls will be saying goodbye to you all.

Well I'm trying to keep an open mind, but is it really time to start using the new forum yet, as there seem to be a issues still.

I agree with Jed i like the fact that you can switch over accounts without having to log in and out, i might try and post something later on the new forum to test it out

OK guys, if you don't like the new site we can just abandon it.

It will be a shame because it could be great, it's just that I need to make sure all is working, that's all. I have spend a lot of money on it, in the hundreds.

As for the missing threads I have said I need to bring over the lastest posts, I haven't yet as you can still post on old site so whats the posnt until that site is closed.threads and posts here are upto 30 Jan.

I'll have a look at conversations to see what the problem is, it just might be mobile css. Easy fix if so.
It is hysr CSS, it will be fixed later today, just have some work to do first.

As for speed, I find it as fast as the old most of the time. Now and then there might be a few second delay while a cache clears, but nothing too bad. The old site has them too. What do you find really slow, Lady J?

I noticed because dolls can't have the same email as their humans, that you can't ask for a new password becuase I gave them a fake email.

If you want me to create a password for you, just PM me and I'll get it done. You can change the password I assign you to what you want in your account. This is for human or doll accounts. So you can all get signed in.

If your doll is missing from the family, give me human account username and doll username and I'll assign them for you. Or use the link in your setting page to link them yourself, all you just need the dolls username and password to link dolls to your human account.

You can remove any images from the gallery that belong to you. That means to have to switch to the doll that uploaded them. There will be a cross in top right corner, just click that and the pictures you don't want people to see will disapear into you private folder where only the uploader character can see them. So if Kimberley uploads a picture, then only Kimberley can put them in the private folder.

Not sure what you mean by this, but there is a widget in your profile that show how many likes (reactions) you have, and how many threads and posts to have done. The likes on the page, just click on obe of the icons and you get a window telling you who sent them etc.

This is coming, that is a huge job that I do plan on doing today. It'll add one view to every post on the page everyy time someone visits the thread. If there are two post on the page and 10 people view it, they wioll all have 10 views. A day late another post is uploaded, that will start at 1 view and the the other three will then be on 11 and so on. So you know exactly how many people are looking at each thread. One person, one view a day no matter how many times they click. Unless another post is uploaded and then they can add another view to all the posts on page again.

Oh don't say that. I have put a lot of effort into this site for all the members to enjoy. If it's going to upset you all then we'll forget it and stay as we are. I can't fix the new site if you don't use it and give a a good hammering. Thats when the faults appear and theats when I can fix it. Or attempt to.

What do you and other think about the speed of the site. It seems good to me but some members feel its slow? The more features added, the slower it will get no doubt so have to be careful what I do.

That was the original message, unless i tilt my phone longways i can't even see the message. It looks like a photo or picture he sent me

I have started a bug thread on new website for you towrite all the bugs and new features you want. I'll go through them as fast as I can, I have a list of things to do today.

OK, I’ll give all these a try. Uploading photos is very slow and it’s not possible to just upload the thumbnails first and then add the photos in the order that you want to. Which means that you can’t put text between photos unless you then upload from the iphone one image at a time.

Yes you can. Upload all the pictures and then drag them to where you want them. Easy on a computer anyway, not sure about using a phone. Try it and let me know.

Conversations (PMs) are now looking good on mobiles. Try them out.

Well I was going to upload some photos I’ve just done of Tania, using their “The Petite Posse” account.
But that account isn’t listed in my settings. Nor is Lorna.

You need to add them in your settings page
or PM me your name and the name of the dolls you want to add to your account. I can do it for you. Its all easy to do.

Reduced the headers on all posts for mobiles, so you don't have to scroll down so much.

Carly can not be logged in , as mr track had to re- join with a 2 after his name , now because of this the site says Carly belongs to another member ?
