Even that is not easy to get level, especially if you have to handle pleats. So, still well done.

Just putting the finishing touches on Meg. Worked on... well let's call it her running gear today. I must say, she's looking rather cute down there. 🤭

Got her fingernails cut out as well. I just use an empty drink bottle for that. I'll post pics when I get them shaped and polished. The store bought variety don't look quite right on Valentina Girl fingers, so I make my own. 💅

Okay, as promised, here's how I make fingernails for my plush gals.

Step 1 Find something to make fingernails out of. 🧴
Step 2 Cut out fingernails ✂️
Step 3 Polish fingernails. 💅

I do that from the reverse side. That way, no matter how lumpy, bumpy and uneven you apply the polish, it always looks smooth right side up. Works for the rubber ladies too provided you use clear nails. ;)
Step 4 Attach to doll's hands. ✋

Nah, don't mind at all. Well, my method for attaching lashes and nails is somewhat unorthodox, but what I do is, first remove the old lases and any residue from the glue. They're probably on with super glue now which has rather poor lateral strength. So gently working them back and forth between your fingers, usually does the trick. If not a little acetone (fingernail polish remover) on the end of a toothpick will get the job done. Careful with that stuff though, it's not very kind to acrylic eyes.

Okay, so once the lashes are off and the area cleaned up, all I use to reattach them is PVA glue, like Elmer's. Very user friendly and if you mess up, cleans right up with warm water. To apply, spread a thin layer on the lashes themselves as well as the doll's eyelid with a toothpick. Let it set for 10 seconds or so, then carefully position the lashes. Wait a few minutes for it to cure and you're done!

That technique works with plushies too!

Well boys and girls, the last piece of the puzzle arrived today/ M3GAN's bra.
Some of you lingerie aficionados might recognize that style. It's a nursing bra with drop down cups. I chose that style for a few reasons and not the one your're thinking. 🧐

Well, with plush dolls the breasts aren't very heavy and don't hang quite the way real ones do. That's where a nursing bra comes in. On a plush doll, that design helps mimic a breast's natural droop, thus giving better definition. It this case it also helped rein in those D's bringing them closer to a "C" and the most important reason I got that style, it was only $7 shipped, brand new! I mean, come on, can't beat that! 🤣
